Ok First of all zeKs, even if you would have tried harder, you wouldn't have been able to sound more like a COMPLETE idiot. Either you're a complete moron who has no clue what the he's talking about, or you're just dumb enough to not find your way out of a box if your life depended on it.
A) You Bitch about the fact that the "acts" you wanna see never get booked. Well here's the thing, your "pseudo-intelligent-underground-low-fi" crap actually doesn't interest anybody. The only people that actually listen to that are people that want to feel like they listen to stuff that is more underground than anybody else. Cut the bullcrap, when people want to go out, they want to have fun, not get bored into oblivion.
B) When the "acts" you wanna see get booked you want free tickets. Now here's the thing: either you want to realise it or not, dance music is a business, if you don't pay to see , then they won't get booked and if they don't get booked again refer to my previous point. Oh but I forget eveybody else is doing it AND you want to prove to your pseudo-friends that you are cooler than them and have connections.
C) Dj's being sellout. O M G get the over it. Most djs aren't sellouts (yeah it's a shock that I say that myself) but it just so happens that when a dj actually finds a niche that other djs like it and flock to it. THE DJ THAT CREATES A TREND DOESN'T SELL OUT HE'S BEEN ING DOING IT BEFORE THE OTHER DJS CAUGHT ON TO IT. But then again it probably has to do with the fact that you are cooler than everybody else and listen to much more underground stuff and that when it becomes mainstream you can't listen to it anymore. Then I understand why you are such an ass on here must be ing tiresome to find boring music that nobody listens to ....
D) Let's go back to your "acts" you wanna see again. Here's the thing, producers, and that might sound weird to you again, want to make money. So the fact that they book djs that people want to see is because they don't want to lose money. Believe me, if you'd put your money where your mouth is and started throwing nights around, and that all your friends would ask you for free tickets and you'd start loosing money you would have other things to say.
That will be the end of my rant for today

So you posted a sentence reply ... and then a whole hour afterwards you found 1 thing that people knew ... Impressed I AM ! !
That being said, the funny part of that lazy effort of a comeback is that Ben Klock is coming to montreal in January and you will bitch and whine to everybody to get a free ticket. Once you will have gotten said free ticket (again you have connections) you will end up bitching about the fact that kids are now filling up igloofest and that it was better when it was a smaller and more underground thing. Then you will bitch at the organisation and say that they have lost their soul (i.e. Sell out) by bringing in too many people that don't have a clue what EDM really means. At that precise moment, I will come back on this board and post the obvious irony of the fact that you're bitching about an artist you want to see being booked by a company that are only sell outs ... |
