Misha again, that trolling/hater character you are trying to make us believe you are just does not work. stop it. be cool just like you are in real life. |
Man you really gotta stop taking my comments as an attack on what you are promoting :) I am just fed up with what Montreal has to offer for the most part..
I went to NU love 2 times and had fun both times. But ala my tastes have changed...
PS. Trolling is a paid profession. Especially when there are so many newbs |

You know the reason why I started throwing partys is because I was not satisfied with the offering just like you, so I would recommend you to do the same. Find other DJs who like techno and dub! 64hz crew with Bushido are into that sound, they brought Maetrik once...or even here on this board Maxrain he does the Exotek nights, pure hard tech. Last Saturday, Noerg organized a techno party Ostrich played there, 200 people party... Start small, go to some of those events, meet the people and maybe next year you can get a few people together and throw a loft party on NYE. If you need help or advice you can always ask me or even Creator who organized many Ravemontreal partys.

Hardly. I just cancelled my hotel reservations: meh.
Stereo used to have massive NYE/NYD bookings. I wonder what happened?
Oh well. |

I as well have cancelled coming to Montreal for NYE.
It isn't that the lineups are horrible, they just don't justify spending a significant amount of money to attend.
I had really high hopes for Stereo based on their events the last couple of months. Oh well, I guess my return to the temple will have to wait a bit longer. |

They've had mainly locals for NYE for the last few yrs. I'm sure the big pricetag for dj's on NYE was a factor. Up until last yr, yeah, their Jan 1st bookings seemed so-so. Last time I went for NYE was Morales/Moraes 31 Dec 2002. That was a magical night for me.
This year, I'm excited as there's Dimas for NYE. He tore the roof off last year for Jan 1st, so I think that's where our crew will go. I'm sure C&C will bring in the masses on Jan 1st too. Who knows, we might do a double-header ! |

+50, this is so true...people do bitch and complain about lack of diversity in bookings, etc...then do something about it! i can only imagine how much stress is involved with undertaking this kind of project (even small parties can leave you in the red at the end of the day, u know...) but, you never know for sure until you try...and if you are really truly passionate about it, then ending up in the red once or twice may just be worth it in the end if something substantial is properly built... |

| The Nu love party I went to 2 year ago was fun. The line up situation was a bit of a mess getting in, but I remeber Creator delivered a really crushing set and was definatley a highlite of that party. Kicking it House party style this NYE. Have fun boys & girls. |

It sounds like a good idea, but my priority is getting money atm instead of spending it :p And you are forgetting I don't even live in Montreal... |

You guys are luckier just having to cancel hotel bookings for New Years lol. I bought a flight back in October before prices went up which is non refundable. Soon as I saw Resolution I was excited (this was going to be the high point of new years for me), until I saw the total lineup.
Guess its not all bad though, Circus has 2 nights of good stuff, maybe 3 if I go on the 1st as well, plus I get to visit my family as well so. If I didnīt have any family there and had to pay for hotels and everything else as well though that would totally suck. |

if there's something for everyone, why are there still complaints? and why still after 6 yrs? |
The day there are no complaints is the day this music scene is truly dead.

You are welcome to pass by as well if you are in town :) |
I may just take you up on that, although chances are if I'm up there I'll be with a group of friends who will want to go see Dimas :) |
