I always love talking to a vapor because they get it, to me real cigs are so barbaric. Vaping is something I enjoy to do, the thousands of different flavors and making your own flavor by mixing juices makes it something enjoyable and when you want to stop you just take your finger off the button and set it down or put it in your pocket. When I was smoking cigs it was more of an addiction and it felt like a job or a chore that I had to do... Like I had to go to the store and buy them, I had to go outside to smoke if I wasn't at home, then I had to smoke it until it was done. With vaping everything comes in the mail to my Apt unless I go to a local head shop to buy a juice but they usually have crappy e-juice brands so I don't do that unless my order is running late in the mail and I'm running out of juice.
I have to hand it to you on that DIY package you're getting into from that link. That is really clever. I think Totally Wicked has an American site as well and that is how I heard of them. Currently I spend $30 to $50(American currency)on e-juice a month. It depends if I want to try out a new company I heard of or if I want to spend a little more cash to try some new flavors but usually it's $30. When I smoked cigs, it was like a $5.50 a day habit.
I have to say again that DIY package from your link is a great idea!! I have never tried it that way before. You have to bump this Thread when you get it and try it out, then let me know how it tastes and vapes. Basically you're getting the base of the e-juice and pick your strength and your choice of PG or VG or a mixture of both, then you add a different flavor to the base every time you re-fill your tank. To be honest that sounds brilliant and a lot cheaper. Currently my 3 favorite e-juice stores are.

You know I've been interested in the concept for years now, but I just couldn't figure out were you got them from, how they worked. I've searched for local online retailers and all of them only sell supersmokers: the imitation cigarettes. And they only have tobacco flavors and nothing else. A friend of mine had two of them and always claimed they were terrible, they didn't produce enough smoke and the cartridges were too expensive.
So I'm really glad i stumbled across the vid i posted earlier which explained it in detail and also gave a good retailer who ships to were i live for a manageable fee. I'm still not a 100% on how the things work, and the market is a confusing one with many different brands selling what is in essence the same product. So it's always good to read a bit more about other peoples experiences.
The setup i have now is one i honestly haven't seen anywhere IRL yet, and the entire concept still seems rather alien to people here which is why i'm still a bit hesitant to give it a whirl in a lot of the more confined and intimate public spaces like buses for instance. Because i grow tired of having to explain it all the time. It's actually quite annoying because a lot of the relevant terminology is in english. I don't even know what to call the device itself.

As far as you saying your Tornado produces a lot of vape, are you aware of the difference in PG and VG and the combination of both. |
I'm not actually, which is annoying since i have to choose one as a diluent. Guess I'll just get both and experiment, they're cheap enough anyway.

And when I started I learned like you that no matter how good a juice is, it will get bland if you don't have another flavor to switch to every now and again. I always carry two juices in my pocket if I am going to be away from the house for a long duration.
|
That's my plan as well. I'm also getting another tank.
| quote: |
I have 2 tanks but they are small and not near as nice as the one you have is. Also the 2 tanks I have, the Cartomizers inside needs to be replaced.
|
It's the same here really, i'm not sure how long they're going to last yet but i guess i'll find out.

I'm more of a dripper but if I could get a nice tank I would use it for when I'm out so I won't get more looks that I already do from people who don't know what I'm doing with a bottle of liquid and a gadget in my hand. The city I live in is a large city but it is very behind in everything (San Antonio, Texas). Did you get that tank from Totally Wicked also? | Yeah i got everything from TW. Great store but it's a shame a lot of items including some of the more popular flavors always seem to be sold out there.
Anyway this is going to be my next order, It hurts but it should keep me going for a good few months if everything works out:

I'll be sure to post an update once i get it. |

On my 3rd week now, smoke free. Most of the days I don't even think about the smoke anymore. Started hitting the gym more often, as pounds started going up. So, after about 10 days of Nicorette Lozenges 2mg, I'm doing surprisingly well - not craving smoke most of the time and on most days don't even take lozenges anymore.
Being able to smell spring air is f*cking awesome... :toocool: |

That it does. Luckily, there are straws. I just use them to chew on or just pretend it's a cig I'm twirling in my fingers. Stood outside with bunch of ppl smoking and noticed that I did not want a cig - the smell alone was enough to remind me how nasty it is. I was offered a cig but was able to turn it down.
Altho, few days ago I was picking up a 6 pack and had a brief temptation to get a pack, to you know - just puff like a cigar...
Sense prevailed, test passed. |

In the long run you might want to get a full on Mod because they are built stronger and last longer depending if you buy a really good one and all you have to buy are rechargeable batteries and a charger which usually all come with the Starter Kits(then you just replace the rechargeable batteries anywhere from 3 to 8 months depending on how much you use your Mod)but that is also true with eGo style Mods and that Tornado Mod you have is also very very good.(I just don't know if it was to be dropped, what would happen, The Tank would probably crack but that is just how any Tank is built but I don't know how the Tornado unit will hold up as I've never seen held one). I don't know why but I just never tried or owned an eGo style Mod. I went from disposable e-cigs(that were really expensive)to penstyle e-cigs from a company called www.ModernVapor.com. I bought their 902 Starter Kit a year ago and used it for a long time and at that time they didn't have the LUX Starter Kit which is an eGo style Mod. Then I became more involved in the scene and found that full on Mods where just my style. I really like your Tornado also, I never seen anyone have one like that one either. Full on Mods can use Tanks(all sizes), Cartomizers, Dual Coil Cartomizer(all sizes), (most full on Mods like most eGo style Mods come with the standard 510 Atomizer connection) but there are 306 Atomizers, 801 Atomizers which are usually really wide, long and are very round although there are 801 Atomizers that have 510 dimensions and there are also 901 Atomizers). 901 Atomizers have become my new favorite Atomizers for dripping just because you can buy drip shields for them that look über cool and in different colors and styles and they just add a lot style to your Mod, you can also use 901 Atomizers and 901 drip shields on eGo style Mods like which is what the caterogry the Tornado falls into. And how you try different Atomizers on a eGo style Mod or on a full on Mod or even certain penstyle e-cigs is with adaptors. You can buy a 510 to 306, 510 to 801, 510 to 901 and if your e-cig happens to have a 901 connection then you can buy 901 to 510 adaptors as well.
The main thing you want to do with your Tornado is understand that it is probably a 3.7 volt device so the lower the Ohm of the Atomizers or Cartomizer or even Dual Coil Cartomizers and Tanks is that you want to use a 1.3ohm or a 1.5ohm or even a 1.7ohm. It's best to get a 1.3ohm Atomizer,Cartomizer,Dual Coil Cartomizer, and Tank because a 1.3ohm will burn hotter on a 3.7 volt device than a 1.5ohm and a 1.7ohm will burn the least hot on a 3.7 volt device. But then again you will want to try all of them because you might not like your vapor has hot as some people. A 1.7ohm Atomizer will not have the hottest vape but it will be smooth and some people prefer that. I like both. I also have a High Voltage Mod, its 5 volt regulated. And when I smoke that it is because I want the vapor to be hot, it reminds me closer of the combustion the fire makes on a real cigarette but there is no combustion on e-cigs and there are many days when I just like a smooth (not to hot) vape full of flavor. There really is a lot of stuff out there right now. E-cigs and e-juice have come a long way and are getting better by the day.
Now for your Tornado eGo style Mod there are even more Atomizers styles for them than there are for full on Mods if I am not mistaken. So that is an advantage for that style of Mod.
Finally, the difference between PG and VG juice is flavor. PG juice offers the best flavor but doesn't produce as much vapor and IMO that is perfect for smoking in bars and going out. You still get the throat hit because the throat hit depends on the mg of Nicotine you choose your e-juice to be at and also how long of a draw you take when you puff on your e-cig. VG juice still offers flavor but not the same as PG but VG juice gives you a ton of vapor and a lot of people prefer that because it makes them feel like they are smoking a real cigarette or they just like the vapor. The vapor disappears a second or 2 slower with VG juice. A mixture of PG and VG juice gives you great flavor and great vapor. I have only ever tried the 50% PG with 50% VG mixture but I hear you can have all kind of different % of mixtures of PG with VG.
And when you are out in public, you will at least have to explain one time a day(sometimes more)what you are smoking. It ranges from teenagers thinking it's a Bong with weed to old people asking why you are smoking in McDonalds. The thing is you inhale the Nicotine and what you are blowing out is water vapor, a little bit of the flavor you are smoking and the PG or VG and that is why I recommend smoking PG while out because the vapor you exhale is very light. |
