I been smoke free for a little over a month now. Well, no completely. I actually tried to smoke again just cause I missed it. It was so ing disgusting I couldn't even finish the cigarette.

Read through the book last night, and I feel that it's really opened my eyes to how I perceived cigarettes. I stopped smoking after completing the book and so I'm about a 12 hours ex-smoker, at the time of this typing. Withdrawal pangs aren't nearly as bad as when I tried cold turkey years ago. I have a much better attitude and outlook towards success, thanks for the recommendation again, Jenny! I'm very optimistic towards life without this filthy habit involved! :) |

| Woooo! How'd your 'final cigarette' go? Did you smoke the whole thing? |

I actually had my final cigarette before he suggested to do so. About an hour before I got to that part of the book. I was already analyzing how the cigarette tasted and smelled. I put my final cigarette out only after a couple drags. Once I got to that part of the book, when he tells you to have the final cigarette, I just didn't have one. It didn't sound appealing to smoke another one, and so I just decided that the one I had previously was my final cigarette at that point. It felt really good to stop in that manner. To feel that I had power over the addiction. At that point (I still had about 10 cigarettes left in my pack), I crushed up the pack and flushed it down the toilet. I had no qualms about it, and only had positive thoughts when doing so.
It's really an odd (good odd) feeling when the pang hits and you acknowledge it completely and pretty much say that's not a part of your life anymore, the pang then almost instantly disappears and I feel a wave come over me. Almost like an adrenaline rush. It's a really good feeling, so I actually get excited for the pang anymore... |

| Quitting smoking is easy when you realize you smell like a ing stale ashtray. Very judgmental here, but to me that smell is synonymous with low income families. Smokers just smell like they live in some hole and don't wash every day. That constant disgusting smell of stale ash/smoke/whatever emanating from their lungs. Barf. |
