I love the way the Onion pulls off some fairly biting social satire. It seems like the writers have a gift for parodying the media in the aftermath of such events.

| It always appeared to me (anyhow) that the whole mass murdering logic was built inside the subconscious around a feeling of being deprived of some sort of attention. Quite tragic really, but not everyone can dwell so far in a state of mind and come out of it to live a some sort of functional and responsible life. |

Yeah, why can citizens with no sort of credentials get their hands on assault weapons, Kevlar and tear gas?
I understand you can't ban everything, but damn. There needs to be a stringent set of requirements including a mental evaluation to acquire this stuff. |

This isn't even funny, this is just the truth.
I do really wonder what it's going to take for this country to actually change our current attitude about guns, and I'm really not looking forward to whatever it is that actually does change people's minds. This sure as isn't it. |
