I was just kidding man, no explanation needed.

I hope there will be a next time with Sasha.

This plus it would be nice to read some kind of a statement from Blkmarket regarding this incident.

I have a good feeling they will release a statement soon.

But after reading some of the things at RA thread, I don't know quite know what really happened. They need to clear things up because BlkMarket needs to be on top of their game when booking big names like Sasha and John Digweed.

Sorry to hear that the Sasha party went throuh so much trouble:( I can respect the fact that they do not choose to reveal the party venues in public, specially in the social media era. Like someone said earlier, it is better to avoid as much as possible the wrong people finding out about events, and spreading the word to other wrong people. All of these posers and ragers and Pacha types would add a negative vibe to events. Hopefully, things will be better for Digweed. Would like to see him spin again; last time I heard him was at D 36 last summer, and he was great:)

What a disappointing party. Starting form that hole of a venue; man, I will never step foot on that place again if I know in advance. The place was way way WAY overpacked I couldn't move at all, I don't know whose fault it was, cause I don't know how the business works, but you cannot overlook something as important as knowing how many people would safely fit in a certain place. that was my major concern and Im pretty sure that was the reason that it got shut down. was not safety.

I hope blkmarket get their together and better not up Digweed,s gig.

bTW: Can someone explain to me why blkmarket do not use clubs such as d36? is it because they are too "cool" to do clubs? with big names such as s&d I wouldn't see any problem having them in a place like that. If their goal is to do these parties for people that are all about the music, why they dont do it the MadNotMad (facebook screening and stuff) way? I dont know so that's why I ask.

D36 is closed. Also, Taimur was the Music Director for D36 when it was being created and after it opened. I don't know all the details, but it turned into a mess and BlkMarket left along with all the other promoters (Flawless left at about the same time).

the willit63 post at ra seems the most credible. lets wait for blk confirm.

what I don't get here is all the neg. about rage. what does one do/call it when you go from 4am sat to daybreak Mon at a musically legit place like berghain. don't seem poseur to me. and weren't we all 18 once? so long as they're not in my face I don't care what age someone is.

We are nowhere near the level of Berghain type clubs here in New York

It's really not that they are young, its the fact that they don't know how to control themselves (with alcohol and other things)

I really don't want to be in a party where there is going to be bunch of people going out for the first time and doing something dumb to ruin it for everyone. There are many parties for these type of people at big clubs like Pacha and some other places. Keep them there

It's not that they are too "cool" to do clubs. Its the fact that club demand certain money and more about vip/bottle service than anything else.

D36 lost the business because certain owners were more about making profits then building a reputation. It's the reason why all the promoters stopped working with D36 after few incidents.

NYC just doesn't want nightlife in the city. This is the reason why we are having all these TBA parties. I'm sure every one of us here would appreciate to go legal venues and check out some good music. But that hasn't been happening for a long time now.

There are many promoters out there currently that are trying to bring good dj's and try to keep a good vibe going. And I really do appreciate everything that they have been doing.

of course I agree, and sad too, seeing as how NYC likes to believe it is always cutting edge.
I was only using it by way of analogy to certain conduct of attendees.
People from Berlin actually have the same thought when they come here: they automatically assume that something like that would be found in NYC, becuase ITS NYC, and are astonished to find out that it's not so.

>>where there is going to be bunch of people going out for
>>the first time and doing something dumb

no disagreemnet from me there, it's all about the conduct, and indeed more frequent with the younger set. But I just don't want to condemn a whole generation, just the a-holes that do what you describe.
I have seen plenty of older people act that way too, which is worse in a way: they have no excuse for it really
