And if he only played for a half hour, regardless of what time the party ended, I understand where they're coming from.
With all due respect to every other DJ on the bill that night, sincerely, not many people are paying $50 if Sasha's name isn't on the flyer. |

Good if you can, I never try.
I figure it's an imposition on them, G. Lee hit it on the head long ago, "I can't pretend a stranger is a long-awaited friend". I try to stick by that notion.

Finally, about your boycott:
Steez Starscape 2012 is the biggest BS I've ever experienced:
they probably oversold the place by 5000 tickets (they claim to be blameless of course), so that thousands were turned away after 9pm, yours truly included. With the stuff I was intending on seeing only going on at midnight or so, getting there 7h in shouldn't be a problem, unless you do like that.
Oh, they refunded, but I talked to people who had flown in from the mid-west, driven up from the deep south, even east-coasters had driven hours, booked hotels, and so on. There's no refund for any of that.
So, yeah, a boycott is the appropriate answer, or as here, the thing is supposed to be permanently dead.
As to Pacha: despite the many issues, I somehow can't detest the place that much:
most events are free or cheap bef. midnight on their open list
there is no poseur door policy
they even try to do something for the kid-crowd so roundly detested here with their U18 series, events that those kids could never get to otherwise (start times too late, the age restrictions,etc).
What better way to educate the kids than by letting them get their feet wet on their own terms
no point listing counter-arguemnts, they are legion, I agree, but just looking for the good side

For a point-by-point reply, I thought the old-fashioned ">>" would be simpler...
lounger540 did a great job of editing his point-by-points, by I assuming adding the html-code quote on/off inbetween each point cited.
I admit I was a bit lazy to do that.
Let me know if that is the only way desired around here, and I will abide.
But if I have a choice, would prefer the simpler quick way.

Thanks for helping my first day back from berlin even more easier digging through the countless posts of retardation. We get graced with posts from CUMPOP, strobelife decides to put BLKMKT on blast, chaska writing PSA responses, and the rest of you 'NYTAs' adding the filler all really helped me a long this afternoon. Thanks for that! lol
And kudos at the end for who ever it is that made me believe in a possibility of another S&D night, either violet or seb that was a real nice touch at the end of this thread..made me smile the thought
