I thought S8&T were great as well at Pacha. I only lasted through about 20 minutes of Tritonal so glad to see I didn't miss anything!

Fun times. 2 hours was kinda short but at least he kept the cheese to a minimum. Anyone recognize this song?

I just got all nostalgic, I miss old PVD. Glad I was able to witness it though many times years ago

I had an AMAZING ing time, Thursday. I wish it lasted longer than 2 hours. The energy PVD brought was intense, the beats were like others said very low on the cheese. Loved it. It seems as though every time I see him, if he does a short set 2/3 hours, he brings it.

If you go to PachaNYC's podcast, he did a 1 hour mix for their latest podcast. Its a good indication of the music he played thursday night.

Didn't stay for tritonal either.

well, today can't compete witha that! still had a fun time though, and yes the too commercial stuff was not too unbearable
but what does bug me is the timing:
having just last week left that place @ 9am (cl) there was no reason for pvd to do such short set, and he should've got last slot..

this was a good to deal with p. crowd, column front left mostly. a lot of kids tbs, but cause I dance w/em no problem (helps when a nice girl gives you a kiss out of the blue :-)
tritonal:
absolute e is too strong, they did what they do decently. commercial/mainstream, oh sure, but they did have most of the floor along. taste, well thats a different ballgame. still had fun o@n the floor.
with prydz in town, they shoudve left that Allein@ home,
what a step back from the night before!

@ dany v.: steady hand! like the vid. how do u get that vantage?

off to Lawler now, cu yall there....

Haha they played Allein? I left about 15 minutes before they finished, them playing that might have given them a bit more redemption, it's my favorite Pryda song.

good point, another way of looking at it. but as I did just hear it from the man 24h before, it just subjectively didn't work as well.

ever listen to the Polarkreis 18 original? not bad, would go see them if they ever came over...

went to this last minute - had a good time. hung out with the super8&tab guys for a little - they were super cool. were really happy to be playing in the city. PvD was fun - not quite what he used to be but still really enjoyable. the tritonal guys were really nice too but yeah - their set was 0% trance. not sure why they're labeled trance - if they just called themselves house DJs then it'd be a good set for that genre. they played kick out the epic mother******, dont you worry child, alesso and allein lol. i think the only trance song they played was concrete angel.
