Saw in the M-Nus event thread that it has a 600 capacity :)

Nothing really much to say, it seems like it's gone TiL --> Cube --> Uniun. SoHo Fridays --> Factory Fridays.

Hope you're wrong! A little birdy told me staffers are calling it mini guv - a little more classy but less than cube.

By all means, I hope I'm wrong too! If it ends up having the >3am TiL Friday night atmosphere, vibe and attendees then all the better :toothless

UNIUN line up looks crap, other than C&C. typical commercial stuff

Max Vangeli, Sidney Samson, Feddy le Grand, etc

sounds like another wretched hive of scum and villainy
:o

You can find that stuff mostly at lesser known nights (independent) and smaller clubs/lounges. There's no 'set' deep house only night or club in Toronto - at least that I'm aware of. Someone chime in here if they heard of anything regular

for bigger events: boundbysound, etc, have good deep house bookings, but you always gotta doublecheck to make sure the tunes you wanna hear are what the artist plays (as deep house is used as a 'catch-all' term for all the new sounds that are emerging)

Sounds good. The Plaza Flamingo interior looks pretty unspectacular, but hopefully these guys have done something thoughtful with the space.

Looking forward to the reviews & photos.

By the way...

That was a lot of fun. Great space and great sound system as expected. Hobo was great (i'm a sucker for drummy tech) but I found Matador to be kind of boring but had a few great tracks. Apparently I missed the best part of his set when I left shortly after 3 :(
