I dont have any problems with gays, ive even got some friends who are gay. But ive been hit on before by some and dont find it too comfortable. Well, except for the one who bought me a drink when i was low on cash:p

Agreed. They should not be allowed to adopt kids either, as this abnormality could be imprinted on by their children. |

what can one do though.. im not completely gay, ive done more with girls thn i have with guys but i am happier not ignoring my natural instincts. The concrete world has only as many boundaries and laws as we give it. I dont feel like i am wrong to do what feels right... |

i knew i was gay in 7th grade... not because i knew gay people (cause i didnt) but because i was naturally attracted to males... i am a pretty spiritual person so i have a pretty open mind, but i think you could at least recognise that people are born into their sexual orientation... for the most part... |

listen, there are an infinite number of things worse for a childs mental health than having two people that love him/her and happen to be of the same sex as parents. this is just silly.

huh ? as far as i know gay people have been adopting kids for a while now in places not too backward thinking to allow it.

wow. you are quite a piece of work, endre. i wont say anything about the 'correctness', as i think that has been layed out for you in later posts. but as per your 'choise' to be hetero or homo, while it is a common misconception, its really not like that. studies have shown that homosexuality is linked to genetics in at least a small way. and no i dont have a link to the studies but believe me you'll find it on google.

it's painfully obvious to me that the majority of posters here are at most high school age, and still surrounded by a lot of social and internal pressure to conform and to not want to touch homosexuality with a 10 ft pole. if you get out of college and enter the real world just as ignorant and closed minded as you are now, you've managed to waste 20 or so years of precious life.

| I dont think I have ever read a collection of more misinformed, uneducated and blatantly stupid comments in my life. Who on earth are any of us to define what is "normal" and what is "proper", I dont think anyone has the right to do that, and to disreagrd/abuse any group of people just because they are different (i dont just mean sexuality, im referring to everything, race, age) is just narrow minded. |

Gay bashing is not a good thing, i dont see why you people cant accept that people have a right (or should have) to do whatever they want with their own lives. They arent hurting anyone.
And Adoption... Im sure youve heard of "normal" familys where daddy likes to do dirty things to his kids so how can you single out gays saying they will "use" their kids.
And....... Is it better for a child to grow up in an orphanage with no one to love them than if they have two men to love them? i know what id prefer... or even is it better that a child should starve to death, grow up on the streets, become a junky or whore because gays couldnt adopt them? explain to me how that makes any sense please |

i like how it combines the worst sin of pride with homosexuality (a man shall not lay with another man as one lays with a woman for that is detestable in the eyes of the lord). I get confused at what there is to be proud about? I dont think at corporations when you list your achievements you should have "1.completed multi million dollar contract on time with efficency and economy. 2. Bettered work environment for self and co-workers. 3. Stuck my penis in a mans butthole."
besides the religious thing, like someone mentioned it is a deviation, an aberration. All these attempts to make it seem like it is somehow "normal" and there are "gay people everywhere" are attemps mainly by women at making men more sensitive. It stems back to somewhat ancient days when it was a man's job to cull the herd. Women are just supposed to be nurturing. I have no problem with women not understanding why guys dont like homosexuality so much. That isnt there job. When a guy starts saying its ok though...what is ok with it again? I missed that part.
I usually dont "hate" gay people. Being gay is disgusting and wrong in every way possible (oh its love? i love my dog...and my parents...i should stick my weiner in their butts too then?). When i DO dislike gay people is when they start touting it as this great thing that you just arent enlightened enough to understand and accept. I find that ironic. That make it seem like its an natural progression as people get smarter they accept gayness more. Yeah, yeah, i remember somewhere that socrates, kant, and marx regularly found holes covered with feces and raped them, they just didnt understand that this was their urge to accept the gay part of themsevles. Unlike the enlightened individuals of today.
I just do not understand this whole subject. Especially in America, but i can see that our colleagues from around the world deal with this a lot too. What is there to argue about? It isnt good, no one thinks it is. Parents dont stare into each others eyes at night and wish for a gay kid. Gay isnt wanted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS BAAAAAAD!
so whats my conclusion to all this? Once again, youve missed the point, and now you point your fingers at me, telling me i told you not to believe :) (jack johnson). Am i advocating discrimination? no. I cant even imagine how tough their lives are. Its a hard hard hard world on those individuals who are "different". They should be treated with dignity and decency, and accorded the rights that everyone else has. what i AM against is accepting it as "good" or "normal" or "harmless". Thats like telling everyone that we should all just accept AIDS because millions of people have it and those people in africa, they KNOW they are spreading it and do it anyways, so they are fine with it, keep your noses out of it. My link to AIDS was somewhat along the lines of social disease, but im not going to go into that.
I dont know where im going with all of this, really. I bet there is going to be a response going QUOTE response QUOTE response QUOTE response ad nauseum, but ah well. Cant please everyone, right? Accept my being a jerk, there are a lot of people like me out there. |
