on a seperate note:

Adoption. it is actually fairly well documented that homosexuals (percentage wise, not gross numbers) tend to be "better" parents in the sense that they actually go buy books and try to figure out how to be a parent because they HAVE to plan to get a kid. A lotta people just and end up pregnant with no idea how to raise a child. So, in that sense they typically do represent a more knowledgeable base on the area of parenting.

On the other hand, they are raising a kid in a house with two gay people. Now, i dont think that he is going to "turn gay" or some bull like that. but hes gonna get a lot of flak from people about his two mommies or daddies or what ever it is. Higher chances of turning into a social reject. he/she most likely will not be the popular kid at school because his/her parents are gay. They wont look like the enlightened individual. They will be the weird kid with two gay parents.

I have found the social ramifications of this more disturbing than anything else.

so back to why i used "better" in quotes in the beginning. Many people look at parenting strictly on how well they raise the child. I think taking care of your kid also means not being so freakishly weird that they are dragged behind the school yard and beaten regualarly.

Being gay is a natural, let's say deficiency, not exclusive to humans. However, for all I care, they can get married if it makes them happy, but they shouldn't be allowed to receive tax benefits, etc that are a product of the marriage. That's primarily because those benefits are intended for the people that are planning on having children to make the upbringing of those children easier. Gay people can't have children, so receiving marital benefits is unfair of them. Now, as far as adoption goes, I'm not very inclined to let them adopt a child. Only in extreme cases where it is obvious a child is screwed and doesn't have anywhere to go if it doesn't get adopted by gays would I let them do so.

animals like dolphins use butt rapage to do establish hierarchy. It isnt the act (although it is friggin disgusting) that bothers me so much as the idea behind the act. the % of animals being gay though, and trying to apply that to people... dunno bout all that

Who cares what other animals do...? You have to exist as yourself. I cannot extract myself from my consciousness and attempt to enter into anothers. The world is my mind, and thus nothing is predetermined. it all exists now. I always have the choice not to do something, but i want to act on my natural instincts to an extent... That is part of life; people want to become close with one another. Does that make any sense?

Gay straight its all the same to me, i have a few gay friends and they are pretty damn funny.....not to mention they always set me up with hot girls...soo its all good.

PS: oh and dolphins are also the only other animal that have sex for pleasure......saw it on a discover channel show with robin williams being the narator, was realy informing and entertaining at the same time.

homosexuality isnt a choice, making fun of a gay person is like making fun of a kid with down's syndrome

gay guys suck! lol...

but seriousley, i believe gay people should be allowed to adopt, because ALMOST every change that happens in society - improves it.

you're gay.

Exactly. I have nothing against gays, because I know many gay people and they're cool. But I hate when they get all mad when we say "you're gay" and such and use the word wrong. Do we get mad when gays say "you're so straight?" Not really, so why should they get extra respect? :/

I have no doubt people are born into their sexual oreintation. What I was getting at is that kids could be influenced by the bombardment of homosexuality that they would recieve daily from same sex parents.
