I think reading the books first and then watching the show makes it sooo much better.
half the time after an ep i have friends call me trying to understand what happened. theres just too much to fit in 1 hr episode. |

If we're going OT then I would say that Dexter overstayed it's welcome. The show got very predictable in my eyes, and I gave up on it after the Trinity killer season (which I must I admit, was probably the strongest season since the first).
Breaking Bad....ugh...overrated. It's good, but how people raved about it I expected it to be way better. |

hes a complicated character. Max cannot get it up if the sex in consensual so he must rape. However his guilty conscience comes into play a lot so he has learned to rape the ones who truly deserve it. His punch line whenever he rapes a rapist is "hey you shouldnt be wearing that"
the point is to humanize the rapists. We want to feel for this guy and understand he lives a hard life. There can be one crazy episode where he rapes the heroine but we're not sure if its rape or not because shes super drunk and she said no but looked like she was enjoying it. |
