| Quite happy they didn't show theon's dick in a box lol wasn't the best episode got kind of bored half way through. Another year of waiting till next season :( |

Failed in so many ways? How so?
For the most part this was a great adaptation. Better than season's 1 and 2 in my opinion (it didn't follow the books as closely as the first season, but overall it was better). I just wish they moved some stuff up from the end of book 3 to the final episode. |

i disliked the backround music in a few episodes i felt it didnt really fit in, other than that i was entertained throughout the whole season.
didnt care for theon torture scenes either. |

| Yeah the season finale was a bit lackluster, but wait till next season, within the first 2 episodes a couple of big things happen. Including an answer to the Red Wedding. I couldn't drop the third book cause the 2nd half was just so much. Literally every episode will be full of action. |

When I wrote this, it was right after the season finale. They could have done soooo much with that season finale |

I agree. Considering their choices to move up certain scenes from books 2 and/or 3 into seasons 1 and 2, I was really hoping for 1 of 2 scenes to be moved up into the finale (eg. the Purple Wedding, or book 3's epilogue). Neither happened. The finale was like a filler episode. I wonder if they did that on purpose because of the Red Wedding in the 9th episode. That final scene with Dany was cheese beyond belief. It would've probably been better if they ended it with Stannis declaring that he's going north...but then that scene was crap too. I'd say episodes 6, 7 and 10 were very weak. Everything else was rather spot on. |

Ok, so I have been avoiding reddit and my newsfeed so not to ruin the Red Wedding episode. I was on episode 3 and had to catch up. My laptop hardrive the bed, had to re download all the episodes and now finally had the time to catch up last night.
Started with episode 4, was confused, went to episode 3, still confused, it... let's start from the beginning.
So last night, I did a 10 hour, 3rd season marathon...
I liked it, still confused on parts of it, not really to sure on why Greyjoy is being tortured, well I have the jist of it.
Everything leading up to the Red Wedding, I thought it would be a disappointment because everyone talked it up so much, but nope, I was floored during that final scene.
And me, Ygritte is awesome (had my fingers crossed for a nudie scene :D ), I love how sassy and smart ass she is! Fiesty gal she is!
Finale was ok, I don't know how a finale could even came close the WTF and whiteknuckle episode of it's predecessor...
I think I'm going to re-watch season 1 again and try to reverse engineer what I know now and maybe have a better grasp on it all. |
