| Yea, the last 2 weeks have been awesome but this last one was incredible. Loved the new sets, and the scenes with Tywin and Cersei were awesome. And the dragons!! That scene with the warlock in the chest was a big WTF moment. Finally a nice curve ball for book readers too. |

oh yes - I think that little story about how he was "cut" was very interesting

| Yeah the CGI with the Unsullied and the dragons marching out of the city was extremely well done. I got goosebumps when I saw that! |

I loved it. And Emilia Clarke has some real language talent. First she had to learn Dothraki for season 1, and now Valyrian. Two made up languages, and she speaks them as if she was born with the knowledge. And after that god-aweful second season arc of hers, it's great to see her starting to kick some ass and not just prancing around pouting about how she will take what is hers with fire and blood.
Other things that stood out for me: The Sept of Baelor looked incredible. The producers, and everyone involved really went above and beyond in creating that set (that's where Joff and Marg are when he's trying to impress her with the Targ tombs, if anyone is wondering).
Going back to the Cersei and Tywin convo: I just love how Charles Dance owns every scene he's in, and his portrayal of Tywin is spot on. Such a cold, calculating character that he makes writing letters look bad ass. Seeing Cersei get put in her place by her father was epic too and I loved the dialogue there. Can't wait to see how Tywin plans to stop Joffrey from doing whatever he pleases :D
And Theon...finally comes to terms of the mistakes he's made, and fully admits that his true father lost his head in King's Landing, and after all that he gets suckered back into the torture chamber. It's great seeing this arc play out first hand, and not just hearing about it as in the books.
Brotherhood without Banners: can't wait for that whole thing to play out either!! :D
I think I may watch this for a third time, which I can safely say I haven't done since season 2's opening episode. |

YES! I kept thinking if it's a real life temple of some sort - it looks quite amazing |

| Charles Dance is the ing MAN. He plays that role with such excellence, I don't even understand. |

The show is really hitting it's stride this season.
The Beric vs The Hound fight at the beginning was all kinds of awesome. I loved the scene with Arya and how she went crazy trying to kill him afterwards. And the scene with Gendry was a real tear jerker. Tywin pretty much owns, as always. Loved the look on Cersei's face when she found out she has to marry Loras. And somebody give Ygritte some damn food. God that girl is freakishly skinny.
I know I said this last week, but this was the best episode of the season. |
