Sure.

That is actually an incredibly common and well backed up argument. The US school system is a joke. They do not know how to teach to smart children and they do not know how to teach to the really dumb kids or the kids that need help. They try and process everything at this middle of the road level and it really cuts out a huge number of kids who can't keep up or who get bored because they read the text book in the first week, and the teacher just spends the rest of their time slowly going over the text.

College is so much better and if they started teaching like that at the high school level, with more focus on what kids want to study (as in magnet schools or specialized course choices) you'd have a lot higher retention rate. That is how it works in most of Europe and Asia and I think it is a primary reason why they are kicking our ass in almost every category.

So you can troll all you want, but trying to call people stupid for not falling in line in the US school system is laughable at best and moronic at worst.

*edit*

Source for this knowledge: My grandfather was a professor of early childhood educational development at the University of Washington (his doctorate in the field was from Harvard) for almost 40 years. His best friend was John Jarolimek, who if you go back and look at your middle school and high school history books you will find as one of the authors, I guarantee it.

Furthermore, my father has practiced educational law for 30 years dealing with teachers, unions, school boards, and administration. It is pretty much all he can talk about, so I have heard, an arguably biased, appraisal of the education system, at least in my state.

Lastly a number of people I have known for many years are now in the educational field, specifically in K-6 education.

so you're basically saying you are proof of lamarkian evolution?

I find that strange. I also don't remember personally having a choice - my dad wouldn't have allowed me to say no.

Also I don't recall any of the kids who did enrichment to be socially inept at all. If anything most of us had better social skills due to not being treated like morons by adults.

I had a choice in that you had to test in. First you had to have an applicable test score from a standardized test in third grade, which allowed your teacher to nominate you to test into the program. I went to take the test and saw the weirdos who were there and slowly as the day wore on they annoyed me more and more... At the last section I asked what happens if I don't do the last part and the instructor said "you don't pass" and I said "ok" and put down my pencil and stared straight ahead.

Just keep at it, Nouman. Just keep, creeping it up, and one day you'll find your "Creepy Minaj". Now Minaj is a fun thing to say, huh, isn't it? But it's very selfish, it's just MEEEE-naj. Not You-naj, no no no. Minaj.

In case I was too subtle, this is the picture I'm trying to paint.

You:

And me:

Do you see where I am going with this, Nnnouman?
There can be only one who emerges victorious, and I'm calling you out bitch!

Didn't the hatred between Seinfeld and Newman stem from the fact that Newman somehow always had a one up on him, despite any reason he should.

I'm sure it had everything to do with him being fat and ugly.
