I just got home. It's 8:30am.

8:40 I just got home.
so from an out of towner/Guv virgin. heres my report.
Show up, its all good. Vip passes get us in, but they ran out of bracelets, so there was no Gold Club room for us. Start in Koolhouse, dunno who was on but damn is it loud. I like the way its set up.*minus men in speedos*. didnt stay there for long. Walk to Guv. Holy . Packed to the already and its only 1 am. And its hot. 1/2 the place looks all messed on drugs the way I do @ the end of a night. only its 1 am. Christ. Mark Oliver is playing good choons. I check out the Acid Lounge, wondering if maybe somebody is left..but its a massive 30 or older asian cuddle puddle. I ran away and walked to the hip hop room(orange) and thru some other 2 rooms. Then back to Guv. Woohoo I learned to Navigate the guv complex(tho I dont think I ever saw skybar, Drink or Charlies)
decide to go looking for the 3 other peeps from cowtown, Seaman is on now..so I figure theres the place. Head back on over and decide to take a seat. Met a nice couple from Oakville going to Sheridan. first nice Toronto ppl ive met
*BTW I hate the city with REASON now. I used to just hate it cuz its TO..ppl here are so pushy rude and self obsessed its not even funny* We talked for a while, then the 3 of us(me and the couple) hit the dance floor..and who do I meet but my TAsn an chig and the non TA. We hang for a bit, enjoy some prog thumpers..then take off for Guv. I lose em once back inside guv, and I realise that ferry is on early. its only 3:20 and hes already playing. So I expect to hear a great set.
did he disapoint. Everything up to Pocket Damage was horrible. mixes were off, there was no flow. I was thinking it would be the worst night ever. His set went uphill from There....but really didnt do much for me. Dont get me wrong I had a good time, but I didnt see much of anything special about it. The chick covered in chocolate goo was nasty. the other 2 were hot. the chick on the front pedestal topless had really nice , and i got a pretty good vid of it(or so I think) Guv was rammed, and im told it wasnt even that busy. Thats disgusting. They are getting a letter from me. Not e-mail. Letter. Now I understand your frustration. The random drips from the roof added nicely to the atmosphere. In the argh it burns my eye sense. Lets not get me started on complaints tho. that would officially make this the longest review post ever. All in all I had a decent time. I was starting to have a great time, but then my buddy who took 3 orange omegas(in moron) puked in the corner, and then we had to leave. Right during Gouryella. so somebody lemme know what I missed the rest of the night. but I wont ever be going back to guv again. I can say that. The bar is rammed. full of chachies. Crowd is wayy to sketchy even for my liking. DJ booth up there sucks ass. is it hot. 7.50 for a rev, I can buy a case for 11. and I only get $2 change. Thanks but wheres my .50 bitch. there is no atmosphere @ all. so many things wrong, that make me wish I was partying @ home. All we need is a phazon and a club that size. Ill comlain moer in 2 days. its 9 am, im sober(cuz I never ate the pill I was given) I am tired, I hear the emergency broadcast system(that incessant ringing) even tho I used my earplugs. And my flight home leaves in 7.5 hours. Ive got a good 5 hours of sleep waiting for me.

This was my favorite party night ever!!!!!! Much thanks to Tatgirl........again......
She made system explode last week for picotto with her enthusiam, but this week she went even further to help make a young man's dreams come true.....
I had the pleasure of chilling for 40 mins with the Digital Punk himself, FERRY CORSTEN!!!! A stroke of fate brought me face to face for the second time(1st meeting owed to tatgirl!) with a hero.
I thought he was just as good this time, as he was last time in TO. He couldn't have been better tonight, because the 1st time was perfect. I was in the booth for Punk, Back to Cali, Lygaua and I have never seen a dj put so much emotion into he set.
Mark Oliver was at his absolute best. I was so ing impressed with his set, that I knew he was showing off for Ferry.
I saw a lot of TAs last night...you guys really make the party better.

You really have to pay attention to ferry corsten, because with him anything can happen......out of the blue

I think if you leave by 8pm you should be ok :) ARIA does not open till 1:30
If you don't have tickets I suggest you get in line a little early though. Some of my friends waited in the drizzle for almost 2 hours to see Ferry!! |

I expected so much more from this event, but didn't happen. The whole party lacked energy and enthusiasm. The sets included. I did get some really great pictures, though (or so I hope.. really hope). I hate bouncers. And all the drug abusers.

all in all a OK night.....set by Mark Oliver Was Amazing brought back a lot of 98/99 memories from X-It.....and Guv before House stormed the city...I like the way they had only one line and that you could get to the guv or kool house from the outside as well as the inside....
I did not enjoy Corstens set that much hence why I left at 5:30 mainly because THEY OVER BUSTED THE BASS to the point where I could only hear that and not the melody of any of the tracks...[ this would never happen at VIVA ]
I can say honestly say that VIVA sound system kicks GUV big time...if the quality is the same atleast VIVA knows how to set it properly so it sounds crisp and clear...

there was this one track played before Corsten and it was a remix of a very well known track...dammed if I knew what it was though...it had lirycs in it " CAN YOU HEAR ME>>>>>HEAR ME ALL NIGHT LONG" I think??? sounds like lucid or something....I cant be bothered to listen to my oldies cause I have too many of them so someone please tell me what this track is called and if they know the remix that was played.....THANK YOU..

3) NOT RACIST I HAVE MANY ASIAN FRIENDS BUT THE MIDDLE AGED ASIAN CHICKS WHO FORM CONGO LINES AND PUSH THEIR WAY THROUGH EVERYONE....this got on my nerves quite a bit..
4) the Eclipse draw?????? Im jelous DAMN!!!!!!!!!
5) the fact that GUV stated that it wasnt even that busy last night OK???

7) didnt meet up with HANSOLO
otherwise I had a good time....my girlfriend loved it cause she loves all the classics that Oliver played...

What a night!
Firstly, I have to say that Charles from Guv is a pretty stand-up guy for letting myself and the entourage of people I was with right by the line and into the place!!!
Secondly, Guv was definitely rammed but nothing like Summers End; I can give them credit for regulating the capacity in there yesterday.
Mark Oliver dropped a great set. Dropping all those old school tunes was awesome. The shows that GUV puts on are getting better and better; with all those dressed up people and .
Ferry came on and started the night with the same track Johan opened up with at VIVA. It was pretty kool. I heard the first 3 or 4 tracks he played, which were not mixed well at all, and then I had the heebee geebees! After that point my night was over!!!
IMO, trance is back in full force. No othere music gets people going the way trance does, unless of course its Picotto playing.
Time to recover and to get ready for FERGIE!!!

What a night.......
Dave Seaman just destroy me with his dirty bumping progressive sounds... I still can't stop moving just sick sick sick set... Mixing was superb and track selection just from other world, i can't name any of the tracks he spun. A lot of room to dance and so many nice looking girls all over the dance floor, just amazing atmosphere with progressive sound...

Around 3 went to check Ferry and he put to sleep not enought energy in his set... And why is all the trance djs have to use Solar stone -seven cities (avb rmx) as an intro? And what about mixing did he ever mix one song to another, sounded to me like he just used a cross fader all the time...
Had to leave the party earlier, had some problems...
All I wanted to say is that Seaman just destroy the whole kool haus, the sound system was crashing and tune so loud in kool haus.
10/10 for seaman
6/10 for ferry
nice meeting all the TA and party with them u know who u are...
