That's what I found sickening as well, he told them he couldn't breathe, and after they realized what happened, nobody made even one attempt to resuscitate him. |

Him having those criminal prosecutions doesn't mean he wasn't a family man though. I mean the nigga was selling loose cigarettes. Where is the list of his prosecutions, because the ones I found have to do with selling untaxed cigarettes, having a small amount of marijuana(An amount for personal use), and driving without a license. He isn't a model citizen but I don't see how this stops him from being a decent/good father or a family man. |
Er, how about get a job, pay at least some of your fair share, not get arrested 30 times or do jail time?
I hate this ing . Being a career criminal (regardless of if its' fraud or counterfeiting or something else without an immediate victim) means you can't by definition be a good family man; that would entail not getting arrested for illegal practices and spending time away from your family and maybe providing for them in a solid manner even if it is flipping burgers for min wage.
Now having said that, no one has the right, especially not these cops to kill the guy.
4 of the Emrgency Workers (paramedics) at the scene have now been suspended for doing absolutely all while he lay dying.
The cop, Daniel Pantaleo, who did the choke hold him has now been suspended, but it turns out he's been sued (and lost) three times prior for excessive use of force in bad arrests.
Worst of all, any type of choke hold is banned in the state of NY.
Either way, this guys career as a police officer is rightly over and with any luck, see criminal manslaughter charges at the least.
The paramedics might actually be easier to convict as their obligations are as clear as their lack of action, which as a paramedic is incredibly serious, not to mention they don't have the same level of union protection as cops. |

i dont think it's banned in the state. it is banned by the nypd. saw on the news yesterday that if he appeals this he might have a chance of winning, but he would have to prove it was in self defense. from the evidence shown the victum seem's like no threat at all so he will lose |

It's another nail in the coffin for how much more destructive prohibition of an item is then when it is legal and allowed to freely move between peaceful people. |
Yeah, it has been a complete zoo ever since they banned cigarettes in the state of New York. Cue rant on how their taxation is a form of prohibition. |
