Yeah, state police and federal agents have very strict requirements. City police basically require a pulse and no criminal records. Hence people going into law enforcement who can't get real jobs because they're too stupid amd uneducated. |
Yeah that's it in a nutshell. They're the garbage men of the low end of society. |

| If their requirements were so stringent as scoops suggests, why would they choose to make less money in a way more dangerous job. It's basically the same as C- students enrolling in the military after high school because they don't have any other options. |

You're talking utter .
Watch the damn video. The guy literally comes up behind him, jumps (because he's a good foot shorter than Garner, uses an outlawed chokehold and doesn't let go until the guy is dead. As jay points out, that clearly aint no headlock.
I respect police. My bother is a Police Officer in London. A close friend of mine here in LA is a Beverly Hills Police officer. When you hear the that goes on, they crazies thay have to deal with, it's amazing how calm they are in certain situations. I've seen video of their car stops. Some people are bat crazy.
This was not the case here. This cop (and let's remember he's been sued + lost three times for excessive force, and been officially reprimanded THREE TIMES prior to this death) has a seriously dangerous small guy with a big badge complex.
And it has nothing to do with Obeying the officers instructions;
Again, I posted this earlier in the thread. This guy came within a whisker of getting shot doing his very best to follow the 1m instructions given to him
Check out this one. The guy is told to get his drivers license and the cop literally empties his gun at him (worst of all he only manages to clip him twice at point blank range with 9 bullets - lol, at least when they don't train, they really don't train em).

I know you're just trolling but I'll bite anyway; You think someone can live on $9 in LA? Or any ing city? $15 an hour is by end of 2017.
maybe it will stop you cvnts from thinking that you should pay $5 for a coffee (at 400% margin) yet the person making it for you doesn't get paid that much in an entire hour.
I'm a business owner with several employees, and I think that wage rise can't come soon enough (not that it will affect me, I'm not some douchebag that pays people to live below the poverty line). |

yes, he dropped out by 15 and actually the number of billionaires who either didn't finish school or don't have a degree is staggering.
Richard branson (virgin), Ortega (zara etc), Pinault (LVMH) - none made it through highschool.
Academic qualification is a paltry measure of success. |

working at starbucks is not a career. it's a job for teenagers/students. if you're 40 years old and work in starbucks, then your skill set matches the pay.

i usually get a grande Americano. it's not $5. even if it was, who are you to tell me what I should or shouldn't get. regarding the pay for the employee, please see the response above

all depends on the skill-set. if your employees are making burgers and you're paying them $20 an hour, you're the problem. you make them believe that they don't need education and training and they can work those jobs and get paid as much |

Yeah, you're right. These people joining the police out of high school are definitely comparable to geniuses and billionaire business owners. They just haven't had their big break yet!
They didn't not go to college so they could start a business empire, or to solve the mysteries of the Universe. They didn't go because they weren't qualified. Granted, that is a generalization, but if you think there's any Einsteins or Gates joining up with the police, you're completely deluded. |

| I actually don't know about raising the minimum wage. Seems like the market can sort it out on its own. If we don't raise the minimum wage, eventually there will be no one to work at coffee shops/bars/grocery stores, etc, as they are priced out, and then prices will have to rise. |
