Yeah, after the Canada Day jam I was convinced of feeling quite "meh" about the EI parties. Just a whole lot more of the same, although I know I can only say this because of how spoiled we actually are. Regardless, FOMO is not a good enough reason for me to go to any party. I have to genuinely be interested/excited about the music first and foremost, and if that isn't there I can't justify spending money on that kind of experience.
I'm sure after another long cold winter my interest will be rekindled, haha. I look forward to what may come in 2015!
Dirty Bird BBQ next week anyone? |

The line up situation was bogus this time around. But yeah music needs to be way better in the future. Hot since 82 = boring since 2012 lol.
I'm deciding to pass on dirty bird after initially going- too many weeks I've been going out 2-4x, need a rest. Doing beltram on Friday though and that has me amped up. You still owe me mcdoubles btw |

On a side note sound was an issue for 4/4 electric islands in 2014- music an issue for 3/4 parties lol on top of long wait times for this last one. 2013 pretty much the only one that was bad was the first one. Where everything was a problem lol. So that's over 50% lol. The formula from last year was working so why did it get so much tier ? |

Thank God I didn't waste my time attending the last EI event.
On the contrary for those who missed the Summerdaze closing event at the Fort York, they missed out on a solid solid event. Easily one of the better, if not the best event I attended this summer. A good looking crowd and a awesome set by Apollonia to complement that, at a Historic Toronto site. :D |

Really? So much hate on this party?
I thought it was banging as , great weather, even enjoyed the rain at the end.
I thought it sounded great for an outdoor event. Came for Tale Of Us, they delivered.
Line up was to get in was lame, so much hassle and backlog at the security, but then again, they were catching people left right and center will bottles of G, bags of powder, and whatever else. So at least they were doing their job.
Jamie XX, you all knew what you were in for, you've heard his boiler room , you know who he is. Why were you surprised? He had a banging track selection. Hot Since 82 was OK, pumped out hard too that made it better.
Afterparty was off the chain. But who were those guys booth bunny'ing all night, so annoying, they were totally interfering with TOU. Each time they were asked to leave by security, they were back seconds later in bigger numbers. Shame they didn't get a chance to play their 'One more track', Karm and Matteo kept playing with the mixer to see if it would come through. They're so much fun to watch Dj and they're genuinely having fun. Marrwo was out on the dancefloor grooving until slowmotion dance guy creeped him and his lady friend out.
Maybe I'm old and just like to have a good time still. I don't wanna nit pick, but people try hard all over the world to throw a party like this, really hard. And we have it, and then complain about every detail.
Saw friends, met new ones, drank a few ciders, danced a few dances, raved a good rave. :)
Thanks to everyone involved, ty I couldn't come earlier to see and support Gera, but that drive was rough after the Sunday I had. |

| I found the music better at Cabana on Sunday than at EI on Monday. Sound quality as well. |

| i thought tale of us was good, not great. jamie xx wasn't , but nothing i would want to dance to, felt like car listening music. hot since 82, the most bland tech house imaginable. he'd play a good song then right back to being bland again. i missed the openers due to ferry line up fiasco and the line up to get in. i don't believe its nit picking, but these are major factors to a good party. one nit pick id like to add though is it was lame how they didn't transition from one act to the next, hot since 82 came on with a full minute or two of silence lol, didn't help the cause. |

I dunno man, the music then sound second are a pretty important reason why I have gone to 7 of 8 parties. And this past party along with the Canada Day one was lacking heavily. It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth going into fall. |
