very well said SK-Q, would have to agree with everything you said.

As well as this, when we lost 200 of our own in the bali bombings, the ratio of people lost to our population was even worse then the 11/09 attacks.

So please stop being so ignorant and consider the fact that you are not the centre of this planet.

Well, they got badly owned, so perhaps they decided to back off.

I'm sure Americans take the time to think of all the millions of innocent people that have been killed by the US army in the past 40 years or so.

http://www.iraqbodycount.net/bodycount.htm#db

Total killed on 9/11 2,819
Total civilians (ie innocent people, not solidiers) killed in Iraq conflict: minimum 6000 (probably a lot more than this. Over 20 000 injured

But I guess American lives are worth so much more.

An average of 2,174 people will die each day due to war. Nine of out ten will be civilians. Five out of ten of those civilians will be children. Each day, 27 American children will die from poverty and starvation, 60 million people will starve to death each year worldwide, and every two seconds, somewhere on this planet, a child starves to death

almost as many people in the world DIE each day due to war than died at September 11 so why is 9/11 so special?

and yes it is true that the Americans supported and gave aid to Pinochet in his coup, to replace a democratically elected government because it was socialist. Resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths and thousands of tortures etc

I dont think anything America does is bad or anything, but American attitudes do piss me off a lot of the time

I will be knocking back afew tonight in respect, But thats all. Thousands of peolpe die every day from things that are out of our control and nobody thinks twice about them.
Pay your respects and move on...........

Personally i couldnt give a anymore.... and im sorry if that offends people but america retaliated (albeit it against a nation that they still havent brought under control - go afghanistan)... its time to move on....

However the attack on iraq has never and will never be justified in my belief.... i find it incredibly ironic that the ex-saddam regime fighters that are still fighting for their country are called terrorists, despite there only attacking military targets (ok im obviously ignoring the attack on the UN here!) and yet the americans who killed thousands of INNOCENT civilians are liberators.....:rolleyes::rolleyes:

But the one thing that has made me lose faith in all things american is americas stance in the international war crimes tribunal - the only way america would sign up to it was if a clause was added that said american soldiers could not be tried for war crimes for 2 years after any military action - plenty of time to cover up attrocities or to move to non-extradition countries... :whip: :whip: :whip:

PS the reaon why the americans pissed off from this thread is that there too busy defending themselves in every other nations thread!! :D:D:D

Kinda like America supplying the Taliban with weapons to beat the Russians. And then they wonder where all the weapons came from??

Do you remember the Gulf War against Iran and Iraq, did you know US and other countries actually sold or supplied iraq with weaponary to overpower iran...too bad they didn't actually win...

but this was 300,000 people dead in this war including civilians, now that seems like a bigger number than 3000 right? why doesn't this have a anniversery? As Matt said, it didn't involve americans...

and yes i know this was a war not a terrorist act but don't you find USA a annoying hypocrit?

btw im not anti-american aswell, just trying to lay down my 2 cents.

what ignorant comments???? there was a terrorist attack in america. thats big because it hasn't happened often. and thats all there is too it. these things happen everyday in the middle east. if someone hijacked a plane and crashed into the sydney opera house i would think fark thats bad. but i wouldnt go around waving my flag on "patriot day" and yelling kill the arab terrorists and lets invade a country...
