in eh, since when is having alot of money / being worth alot of money a reason to think you mean more than anyone else.
I actually meant it from a perspective of 'He is worth a lot of money because he has a lot of talent'.
I mean come on, when your being lauded after each game by the media tagging you as the current greatest footballer on the talent , its hard to maintain your modesty and why not.
Fact of the matter is , he has not let his cockyness get to his head and instead is using it as a threshold to prove to himself he is the best and it needs to stay that way unlike say Ronaldinho who developed an attitude problem overnight and his abilities went for a toss. Ronaldo isnt someone who gets caught up in off field controversies (he was the only team member who stayed away from United's infamous christmas party) and doesnt get into tussles on the field either.
End of the day he is a footballer who will do anything to score a goal and i guess its pointless trying to make opposing supporters realize that even though some of their own players adopt the same tactics albeit not as successfully ;)

Yeah, seriously hard to see him being cocky in this recent interview after the 2-0 win over Bolton

First off, suck it Everton!
Second, I missed the last 20 mins as I had to drive into work :o What exactly happened? How did Santa Cruz score in the final minuets and how awesome is it that Voronin gets subbed on and immediately scores. \o/

Well, start of the new season.
Some good signings but I doubt we'll get our hands on Gareth Barry, I woulda chose him over Robbie Keane if I'm honest.
Or put in a bigger bid for David Villa, he's an actual striker, not a Kuyt, Voronin or Keane.
Don't get me wrong, all three are good players but they don't create goals and have the skill and confidence to turn their work into something that say Teves or Drogba can.

Oh and 3 points from first game is a win!

I agree that Barry would def make a bigger difference than Keane and i dont think that saga is quite over yet. Keane has the potential to make a big difference but i think that hinges on where Rafa decides to play him. Imo he's a striker and that's where he should be played not on the right or the left.
We are still short of a creative attacking midfielder and have been for years now. Why that wasnt made the priority this summer i will never know. Unfortunately with players of the calibre of Kuyt, Pennant and Voronin I just don't see us challenging.
There is talk that Rafa still has the money for another big signing so we will have to see.
