I gotta say that was probably the performance that convince me that we are heading towards mid table mediocrity or if not were already there.
If Murphy came on for Le Tallec then he should be the penalty taker no matter what. I was in gutted after Owen's unsuccessful Pen.
Instead of throwing on Pongolle after Pompey were a goal up, GH waited 5 minutes near the end to bring him on. I do finally agree now that Houllier is not the man to bring LFC to becoming the rulers of English football once again. One thing I can say is that he brought hope back into the club, by winning more trophies than his 2 predecessors(Souness/Evans) put together at Liverpool. |

martin o neill is not someone id like for manager(no disrecpect to the celtic fans)
i actually think thommo can do a better job that houllier...
id like too se him try, he knows all the players we have now and therefor minimal change is needed.
and i dislike how houllier rips apart players confidence right before kick off. like he did with porthsmouth, it went something like "Getting 4th place is more important than winning fa cup" HOW THE CAN YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT RIGHT BEFORE KICKOFF. OFCOURSE THE TEAM IS GONNA DO E IF THE MANAGER HAS THAT ATTIDUE. YOU SHOULD GO INTO THE MATCH TOO WIN IT, NOT ING PLAY 4-5-1, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAY HESKEY OR ANY OTHER STRIKER ON MIDFEILD (pongolle played guess what ah left midfield when he came on).
porthsmouth where without 14 senior players due too injury this is the worst and probably the most embarrising defeat ive heard off.
And still people go on about how we should support the manager, i support liverpool and houllier is clearly not the man to bring us forward. He should be fired right away, let thompson be manager for the rest of the season.
even if houllier wins us the uefa cup this year(higly unlikley) i demand his head in a bowl so i can piss on it when ever i feel like it.

Parry - Cup exit is a massive blow
Rick Parry today admitted that everyone at Anfield shares the frustrations of the fans after the Reds crashed out of the FA Cup.
The club's chief executive admits he had high hopes of watching the team enjoy Cup success in Cardiff this season, but he says everyone must now refocus as soon as possible to strive to keep the campaign alive.
"We share everyone's disappointment," said Parry. "No-one will disguise the fact this was anything but a massive blow.
"We had high hopes of doing well in the FA Cup and thought we had a good chance of going all the way. Now we've got to get focused again quickly.
"The reality is there are potentially some brilliant ties to look forward to in the UEFA Cup if we can progress.
"We've also got to focus on Champions League qualification which is an absolute priority."
FIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Hmm.. not sure thompson could do the job or not... although i suppose he does seem passionate about the club, as its always him doing the shouting for Houillier on the touch line!!
saying that, i think martin o neill would be good cos he managed to get leicester promoted and has won the championship with Celtic. Also, he was linked with united when ferguson was gonna leave, so if hes good enough for united, hell be good for us i would think.
Also heard rumours that Sven could take over.. but i think that hes almost bound for chelsea.. would be good though.
I think houilliers done a good job.. but just not got that bit extra to take us to 1st place and back into the championsleague.
I also heard about the i dont care about the fa cup thing. if thats his attitude, hes obviously lost his passion.. |

| 2-2.. bummer. was a great game though and liverpool played very well i thought until houillier decided to bring heskey on who played more attacking midefield when we needed another striker on! should have won but 2 great saves from robinson kept us out. Thankgod newcastle drew and charlton lost yesterday.. 4th place still up for grabs! |

First of all away tickets are offered to fans with season tickets, then if there are any left they offer them to the general public. Season ticket holders will have a deadline by which they must apply for tickets, they can usually get another ticket or two for a friend, but they take responsibility for that friend. It's unlikely you'll get in the Liverpool end unless you know a fan with a season ticket who trusts you not to be a hooligan, or if there are any tickets left for the general public. If there is a general sale they will go very fast, but most likely all the away tickets will be snapped up by season ticket holders. It all depends how many seats Marseille decide to give to Liverpool fans.
As a long shot you could try Liverpool fans' message boards and ask if anyone is selling a spare ticket, you might get lucky. Inevitably some Liverpool fans will buy tickets from touts outside the ground and go in the Marseille end, but obviously you have to be careful doing this. My only away trip to Europe was Barcelona - many Newcastle fans travelled without tickets and bought them outside the ground. They went in with the Barcelona fans, revealed their Newcastle shirts and police quickly escorted them to the Newcastle end, so they ended up in the away end that way. Whether this would work at Marseille I have no idea. At Barca we were told to arrive in the stadium three hours before kickoff and had to wait in the stands over an hour after the game finished, a policy they reserve solely for English fans! Don't be surprised if Liverpool fans get similar treatment from Marseille. |

Cheers!
Ure right.. i basically got no chance of getting tickets with the liverpool fans, so basically gonna try buying to go in with the marseille lot! Tickets go on sale tomorrow in marseille, and a friend is going to the city on tuesday so gonna get tickets then! I really hope they dont sell out on the first day of sale!
Hopefully itll be safe enough to go in the marseille stands. Of course im not gonna be wearing my liverpool shirt.. and i suppose ill have to keep quiet if we score! but should be worth it anyway! Fingers crossed i get tickets! |
