At one time I could be considered a 'romantic,' but that was a long time ago. Would give more details but I'm on a time limit here. |

Romance can only stay alive when the other person is reciprocating... once we find out that we're being taken for granted, that part of us dies hard and fast.
Ask yourself how many girls you know are truly "romantic", with the definition applied in a broader sense than "liking when a guy does romantic stuff for me". Maybe then you'll have your answer why there aren't a lot of romantic guys out there. You all love to dream and to be on the receiving end, but when it comes to doing something for us that actually requires thought and care and effort, you'd rather be shopping for shoes or clubbing with your girlfriends. Obviously this isn't going to be true for every single girl, but I feel no shame in generalizing that it's true for most, at least in the teens and early 20s. If you're in that age group then ask yourself, and try to be honest, how many times have you *really* gone out of your way for a guy you liked or were in a relationship with?
Probably some guys were never romantic, but I'd hazard a guess that at least half the ones who were just don't want to try anymore. Or they are "hiding in the bushes", as says Mr. Pink, waiting for a new potential mate to indicate that they're actually capable of that kind of relationship. Part of the reason some men are only after sex is that there's really no mind games in sex, but if it turns into a relationship, we tend to get ed (and not in the good way).
And don't start with me about confidence and yada yada... I know all that but some of us are just tired of doing all the work and would rather be single than have to be some bitch's butler. |

He's just bullting you...
Anyway I forgot to mention one other thing:
Romantic types 90% of the time are also the jealous, possessive types, which makes perfect sense when you think about it. So if you can't pass up an opportunity to flirt, chances are you won't last too long with a romantic...
Just my thoughts though. |
