Btw, i was just watching the news (CFCF12) and they did a 3 min report of B&B, they even showed Armin spinning. They might repeat it at 11:30 if anyone whant to check it out. |

damn...couldn't make Bal en Blanc...sounds like people had a wicked time...that was one sweet ass lineup...I made due with the Decadence party here though ;)

greatt night and prepare yourself for a ing long review i got a lot to say !
Well let's start out with the begining
Got there @ 9 with preach and saw the room before everybody and tought tu myself that i was a little too small, but seriously it wasn't it was the best sized room ever taken for a party.
So preach was on got the people grooving, he did put on a really great show but there wasn't enough people in the room to make it the set of night ( 'cause that wath it was ) and people where getting in really really reallly really realy in fast but i doesn't really care 'cause at that moment i was already getting drunk pretty nastilly ( thank to funken for that one ). A about 12:30 pm got to the house 'cause i knew what was coming Dj jester and 4 violinists where doing a live performance of dr. Kucho's i don'T remember the name of the tune right now but seriously i had chills down my spine for soooooooooo long. Then @ 1 peter rauhofer came in and i wanted to see him ( i was a huge fan of him a long time ago so i had to hear him for a little while ) but , the guy played the same in tribal tune for 4 in hour long, not that it wasn't that bad or anything but NOTHING was happening, i mean NOTHING AT ALL !!. Then something happened ...
Armin was on, and i can honestly say that he was killing everybody ... including me, he put on ONE HELL OF A SHOW !!!! and btw Umek - Gatez ..... OMG i died. The vibe during his set just kept building and building for 4 in hours long ... serisouly he did a great job and he deserved his pay check yesterday night. Then something happened .....
Paul van dyk came on .... and put on a in bad show, it wasn't going anywhere, he was just playing too hard, he didn't really had a line. I mean his set was all over the place and come on he was there to get payed. He didn't want to be there, he's snobby, he's got one hell of an atitude, and he doesn't seems to enjoy himself anymore, people sould stop booking mister Van dyk ... IT SUCKED BAD, he killed the whole gooooood vibe that was in the pace that armin put. So i decided to go and ear mister d laflèche
To be honest, he did put on a nice show, he got people SOOOOOOOOOO vibed ... it's not even funny. Now i know why he was one of montreal's prior dj before, but he did screw up a couple of times during his set but hey ... wadda ya want, the guy puts a great show but he has some technical difficulties.
Marco g Then came on at 6:30 righ after the disasteress set of Paul van dyk. He had to rework the crowd, rework the vibe and get people to grrove a little. HJe did a great job for the 2 hours that i heard his set,started really banging techno which seems to be a little too hard for people there but then worked his way to funky techno/ funky house which was really great and it really got people moving. When i left, the aria trance room was got vibing again.
While marco was playing, Deep dish came on in the house room. And it was ridiculously packed, i mean everybody was in that room, wasn't even funny, BUT DAMN the party and the vibe was astonishing there. And they did a wonderfull job ( and i heard them only for 2 hours ( in which i was going back and forth from the aria room to the playground room. ))
All in all a in nice party, it just means that Bal en blanc has and deserves his place as montreal's leading dance event. Let's wish Bal en blanc another 10 years ( at least )
Btw thanks to funken, malek, zing, preach, axx, marco, mike, nolan, all the otawa crew, the toronto crew ... that didn't come to see me ... but hey it's not your fall all rule all of you so, and everybody i met yesterday night ... i don'T remember all your name.

CRAZY PARTY, PREACH WAS AMAZING
Armin played Umek Vs Speedy J - Gatex & Kreck:eyes: really intense!!!!!
Marco G played the magic tune that got me grooving so fukin bad

Somehow Mtl does not do it for PVD. Third time in a row he comes to Mtl this time of the year and third time in a row he just plays an OK set.
His NY and T.O. sets that I've seen were much better than the one in Aria last year. |
