despite ur comments about preach, i agree completely ^^.
the nite was incredible - mostly socially - and it seemed like these 15hrs just flew by in a flash.
but for me, u have to keep in mind, it's never enough, no matter how long a nite is! ;)
to start off, being among the first people to arrive, i began my last 24 hrs of a 5 day party weekend in two cities, to an energetic, kicking set by preach. as soon as u walked in, his tunes banged u in the face and said 'hey let's get this party started'!! even he was bouncing & jumping around so hard that i thought the booth was going to collapse!! hahaha!
cooling things down to a bit of fromage -
avb and pvd ... well, what can i say, i just don't like trance anymore. i thought they were both pretty weak and was glad when the cheese was over. although armin is quite an intelligent and cool guy, plus his manager who kept telling me all sorts of crazy stories. hehe!
i finally had to go check out the other room, so i wandered through lines of massage tables and wiffs of tiger balm and got stuck in this round tent-like looking thing with white sort of curtains hanging from the ceiling. in this small, enclosed space the sound was really intense and all around you cos the speakers were set up in a cirlce. it literally embalmed you ... enjoyed that for a bit and then found myself in a grooving crowd to progessive house beats. peter rauhofer, my almost fellow-countryman, who i'd never seen before, i thought was pretty good. not the best prog but still got me grooving & moving in my .2x .2m2 dancing space amongs sweaty, top-less gino's and crazy traffic being bumped and stepped on every other second. ...besides all that, sweating insanely and looking more like coming out of a battle than being at a ball dressed all in white, i was alone for most of the time and had some interesting adventures. :D
so i ended up finding myself in the special vip area that i had managed to sneak into and spent the last two hours sitting 1 m away from sharam spinning! hihi!
... unfortunately though, to my greatest disappointment, which was also my greatest expectation, DD did not bring out their magic wand, as i know it. Ali had barely spent any time on the decks, so for most of the 5 hrs it was only sharam ...and we'd already seen him alone on NYE! Ali is the one who brings out the magic of the nite & this is what i missed the most! as i always say, the two complement each other and their set is not complete, - one without the other. sharam is the basis and Ali is the cherry to top it off.
as a whole, the place was beautifully decorated, the layout and set-up well thought out, the sound was massive and crisp, and the lighting was well coordinated! the people and vibe were exhilarating.
now to the most important part of the nite, which made MY nite complete - was my TO & Montreal crews - my second families in both cities! without all of you my nite would not have been as special as it was ..sorry, i can't even find the right word to describe the kind of nite it was. ...
... there was a point in the nite where i just stood in the middle of the crowd and looked around me, just watching people walk by, chill out, dance, talk, mingle, jump around, smile, share spliffs, share stories and jokes ... it was amazing! everyone was minding their own business and just having a good time. it was a strange concept actually ..thinking about ...couping up 12,000 people in a confined space for 15 hrs and who are doing nothing but enjoy themselves & each other ...while listening to ear- & mind-numbing music with a crazy bassline vibrating through all of our bodies ..which is THE thing that connects us all ... and the dj is the skipper, that guy who is in charge of directing our experiences throughout the nite ... strange thoughts, really ..yea, real-listically speaking!
anyways, i'm drifting off ...
my montreal boys & THE MOFO CREW which DOES STILL EXIST!!! - philippe (preach), malek, mazen, krinker & taha ... who, sadly was not among the ranks but in my thoughts none the less, as well as louis and meo, our new additions! ;)
meo - thanks for your kind words earlier in this thread. all the things i said to you, i meant! so there is no need to say any more ... it was from the heart, and you should stand proud and tall b/c you have a successful career ahead of you! it's you ... that's all! :) you also gave me something that nite but i'll tell u more about it later.
and of course, not to forget, it is always a pleasure to see those lovely smiling faces and those warm welcoming 'home' greetings from jf, marco g and some of the ARIA security boys who were also part of the party crew this time!
needless to say, it felt like coming home and i was certainly treated no less than absolute royalty. (but next time i'd like a red carpet and rose petals, please!! :P although ... jf had a private escort organized for me! thanks! lol that was sweet!)
thank you also, jf, for the ARIA VIP area which was always a point to meet and made the difference in the world for us to party and bond as a crew!

the hightlights of the nite: malek running up to me, scooping me up onto his arms, swinging me around and dancing around with me. u made me so dizzy!!! i have never seen you smile such a big smile and be so happy!! glad u weren't filming in the end!

OMFG!!! What an amaizing night. A lot of good words were said, so I'm not going to repeat them. Everything was perfect and oddly enough I haven't met any MTLTAs... May be cuz I didn't have a VIP ticket...but it didn't matter because I had a Blast with 3 of my friends and TOTAs
