Easy near-proof: Just put some verifiable information about the account on the web. Scan something with both your and her names on it that shows the transactions. No need to show the account number... you can blank that part out.
If you don't have that info handy, go to the bank. They'll provide you with a transaction record.
If you do this, I bet most of the people on here who are 'slagging' you for playing Spective PI instead of going to the authorities will buzz off.
My personal advice though (and any lawyer will tell you this): Break off any communication with the people who were scammed by your ex-fiancee. Report the incidents to police. Let them investigate HER finances and follow the money. She acted under your identity despite your being a co-holder of any accounts... that is a felony. They will investigate such a thing thoroughly. Your name will be cleared much easier this way, and legally - without your stalking your ex.
Legally you should be paying off the creditors when they come... not the people who were scammed. You will most likely receive restitution from the court when your ex's criminal case is closed. If you don't, you will then have all the evidence you need for a civil suit. |
