gotta admit i'm surprised (pleasantly) that they're 4-1.
the win at utah was a REAL good one, but dont think
that seattle will be a pushover - could have a letdown 2nite:confused:

but they really re an entertaining team - RAFER is the key;)
lets also hope donyell marshall's not out long:)
che
they lost a close one last night 89-88. The blew a 88-83 lead with 30 sec left. Hopefully they can rebound tonight at Portland....

Yeah that was ty...1 point...ouch...But they are playing really well I'm sure they'll continue to pull ahead!

GO RAPTORS!

Blame Vince for missing that open J on the last seconds. If you're half a good player, you gotta hit those shots! At least he had a dunk, his first of the season.
Where's the Vince that used to make 3s on one foot with a guy all over him? What happened to Vince that used to do 360 dunk when given a chance getting the opposition fans off their seats in their arena?

I'm all for trading Vince for Ray Allen.
Crazy Serb
Vince is useless for like 90% of the game. All he does on the offence is wait for the ball in the corner, and when he gets it he rarely drives it to the hoop... then again, whenever he drives to the hoop, he usually ends up missing a wide open layup or something. DUNK IT, for fvck's sake. The other 10% when he actually starts looking for the teammates, starts distributing the ball to others, makes a few assists here and there and some steals on the defence, that's where he shows his worth. Now, the problem is that it's only that 10%... if he did that during half of the time he spent on the floor, Raptors would be unstopable.

And yea, Rafer is the man. It took Raptors "a while" to recognize that talent, but hey, Raps are well known for passing on the talented players and picking up some old bones.

2 guys that need to be traded ASAP are Lamond Murray (he has no shot, no dribbling skills, slow as hell, contributes nothing, absolutely nothing) and Jalen Rose (this guy forces so many shots, and unfortunately doesn't make them, it's unbelievable... as if he was Kobe).

Yeah, at least Allen is consistent and you know what you're gonna get from him, every game...

The only problem is that I think Allen doesn't want to play in the East.

I *love* Sam Mitchell as a coach!

Did you see his interiew? Holy ...they're off to a great start and he's RIPPING people, lol, saying that whoever buys into HIS game plan will play. I love it. A coach who will run the show, not the players. How refreshing is this? I want to see a coach bench his starters when they fail to show up and be supported in that decision by management and the owners.

best things so far this year? Sam Mitchell, Rafer Alston, Chris Bosh, and Matt Bonner. Bonner rocks. This guy shoots a three and gets his own rebound...tireless effort.

Vince for Ray Allen...yeah, I'd do it. Vince playing hard all game is tought to replace...but he never does that...so...why not get someone with arguably less skills/talent who will put in the effort from start to finish.

I like Jalen though...he had a bad game...but he's usually a smart player.

Bosh, Woods and Bonnner up front with Rose and Alston in the backcourt. Sounds sketchy, and not a worthy starting lineup, but I like what they've done so far :)
Crazy Serb
Yea, Sam Mitchell is doing an amazing job...

And Bonner, whoa... this kid is showing a lot more than the team's supposed superstars. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitchell rewarded him with more minutes in the near future.

vince's problem his WHOLE LIFE has been that he refuses to take it
to the basket enuff - settles way too easily for bad jumpers.
IF someone'll take him, the NEED to trade him.
he will NEVER take them anywhere.

also agree with crazy serb when he says that jalen needs to go.
this guy is SO overrated. u ever notice how high he jumps?
when shooting or rebounds? HE DOESNT!!!! hes got like a 5" vert.
and CONSTANT bad shots from him too.

its a testament to how good a job sam mitchell is doing with this roster. i HOPE they keep it up, cause raptors fans deserve it:D
infinity HiGH
The problem with Vince is that ever since his injury, he's chicked out to a style of play thats totally not him. The guy has talent, but he's playing a style of B-Ball that he has no business playing. He needs to get back to his old style of play, because his "highlight of the night" fade-away shots are going nowhere. DRIVE to the inside, get the defence to go at you, and then jump over them and dunk it or pass it away to someone open! ! It pisses me off cause I know if Vince really wanted to, he could do 35+ points per game and the Raptors would be killing so many teams in this league.

As for trading him...hah, Seattle would never give us Ray Allen for Vince...the way he's playing, nobody will wanna take Carter when their current stars are playing 2-3 times better. Right now, it's all about Alston and Bosh.
