i never ever thought picotto was the worlds greatest techno DJ, and i have never stated that he is the most technically gifted. i do however always say he is one of my FAVORITE dj's (if not THE favorite of all time). there is a distinct difference.

carl cox isnt about good mixing, im not criticising him, he just isnt all about solid mixing. Just look at his Global CD, which is really badly mixed and has a booklet filled with 'excuses' :haha:

you only have to read your posts here to see why you are clueless, although there are a small amount of subjects which you do have a clue about, the only one of which i can recall is PvD.
you are a wit because you spend your time on these forums hunting through everybody elses posts looking for something to have an argument about, and then keep going and going until you get a rise out of someone. its just people (including myself at times) are stupid enough to rise to it.

Ive seen plenty of times where hes gone on about picotto being amazing, and how he refused to concede that picotto was simply a cut price chris liebing.
where have i said hawtin is one of the worst techno djs?? please, i like richie hawtin, and i really like his plastikman stuff, although this thread is about MIXING. Richie Hawtin is quite simply, not all that.
the only person making up here is you. Stick to having a go at what ive actually said.
tu_face > please point out how I am clueless? You arent doing a very good job of it so far... at least if youre going to say it then back it up... Im not the one thats come out with cox & hawtin being the best mixers around :stongue: you even conceded that i might be right, how then can you go on to call me clueless? |

their field is techno / house

isnt Hawtin's performance mostly on the fly mixing? he just creates layers right there on the spot.
So you got to take it with a grain of salt that he may not mix a couple tracks together.. but still you got to hand it to the man for being able to do that.
Doesnt BT do the same thing? Why arent you bashing BT for poor mixing? |
