By the way, I am sorry for all of those I stepped on. I was dancing so hard that I stepped on a lot of shoes. Again I am sorry. Was just having the time of my life. ;)

This was one event I would really liked to have gone to but after hearing all the trouble I'm glad I stayed at Passion, my local club.

message to PVD:

PVD loves NYC, he stated that is his second favorite city to spin, besides Berlin. Part of the reason is that there are so many hard core PVD fans that are in line 2 hours b4 the club opens and stay till the last song is played. It is always jam packed, hot, no room to dance, but he rewards us with 6 hour sets, and encores.

How dare you say that we have no respect? You cannot blame thousands and thousands of dedicated fans for the actions of a few s. I'm from philly and I've traveled to NY, D.C., and Miami to see PVD, and every event from Twilo to Space has been spiritual with a positive vibe. I know that PVD is sick over the recent tragedy, this is such a shame to happen to PVD considering he preaches nothing but peace, and has the utmost respect for his fans. I'm still struggling to understand why/how something like this had to happen. I feel like someone was stabbed in my church, that's the best way to explain my feelings right now.

Besides that... I really had a great time on Friday, my friends PVDfanatic, Paula, Christina, and the rest of their crew had the best seats in the house. Thank you guys soooooo much for sharing. You are the best! Nothing but good vibes in the VIP area!

Some highlights of the action:

-the rowdy line patrol....the TA's were the loudest bunch, we all had spiked water and soda bottles and everyone was having a great time! Communal jackets!

-meeting tons of new TA's

-We pretty much owned the dancefloor the first hour or two into the party...

-Jon O'Birs' opening set, I will pay more attention to this guy in the future!!

-Everytime I wanted to take a break from the crowds, I went and played playstation games :thepirate

-being surrounded by boobies as the clock struck 12

-I got tipsy just SMELLING Vlad's drinks!!!!!

-afterpartying at Jayson's apartment after the party, drinking 40's and bummin smokes.

-I enrolled Adam in my "401k" plan :tongue3 :eyes:

-having Seho on lockdown for the afterparty, watching akko busting out the moves and getting liquored up.

-watching the sun come up with friends.

-getting home at 9pm the next night :whip: :eyespop:

There were many, many more, but if i listed them all this would be one hell of a long post. One of the best NYE in memory, even the ty crowd could not dim the fact that I got to ring in 2005 with some of my favorite people!!!

if uve never experienced the nyc scene, please dont make assumptions based on one specific club event and incident that occurred with a few stupid individuals. Hes been a part of the NYC scene for a long time and has since played in other venues with no problems and when he was a resident at Twilo we totally loved him to death. and we still do...
lazy chick
First I have to say I hate IKON!! It was way too crowded especially on the second floor, next to coat check. The crowd was annoying as hell!!! Sound System sucks!! I will NEVER go back to IKON, NEVERRRRRR!!
Jon O' Bir did a great job opening for PVD. Hearing Xpander at midnight was pretty ing sweet :) I had so much fun dancing with you guys on the main floor when we first got there. The first 4 hours was awesome. I went insane when PVD dropped Punk, Jump the next train, and Born Slippy :D I thought it was going to be a great night until I saw those damn fights. I was right there when those asian dudes started a brawl. That was my cue to get the hell out of there. Mike and I went upstairs to chill for a bit. It took us forever to get through the crowd. We found Joe, Meredith, and Tony sitting by coat check on the second floor :D :D Chill with them for awhile then all of us decided to head back to Jay's. We left around 3. I didn't have any problems with security as I was leaving. Im pretty sure they were looking for asian dudes in their late 50's anyway. No matter how ty I feel I always stay til' closing but not this time. I really wanted to stay for the rest of PVD's set but I just couldn't :(
NEWAY it was fun partying with you guys. We shall do this again somewhere else def. NOT ikon.

that 401k plan is the reason that adam had to be dragged to the bathroom by his ankles every time he needed to go. that was a good post, i forgot all about waiting in line, it seems like so long ago. we need to meet up and try to figure out what else we dont remember. oh and word up about jon o'birs' set, awesome!

What a crazzy nite it was and it all started as soon as we got to the line and saw all the TA's reppin it up.. From the moment the party started it was a non stop roller coaster all the way til the ride home.. Jon O'bir was great.. played ralphie b massive and then dropped xpander goin into midnight.. what a way to bring in the new year.. at 12:15 the man came on and he ripped it straight for about 2 hours before he dropped time of our lives and slowed it down for a bit.. the mayhem that was goin on was unbeievable from fights to stabbings :eyes: to people just bein a mess all over :eyespop: .. i was on the main floor when 2 fights broke out and damn that was the last thing i was expectin on nye for pvd on such a special nite.. but there are always some bums that eff it up for everyone..

other than that BS it was a great time.. some peeps complain about the crowd but most of us were prepared to be crammed in there wall to wall.. i think the only real problem was that too much of the club was roped off for vip.. they couldve opened up a lot of room to dance if they opened up some more of the club.. even if they allowed peeps on the stage like they have so many times before they coulda put 50 heads up there at the least.. and the rooftop is a pretty hott place to chill now too.. i love what they did up there.. if anyone got a chance to see the setup up there its completely diff that before.. anyways, it is all over now and we have some great memories to look back on.. for anyone that got injured or hurt im sorry for u i hope u learned a lil somethin from actin up and tryin to be hardcore.. HAPPY NEW YEAR AND MAY THIS YEAR TOP LAST YEAR FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!:D
reddog4063
I agree, more than 50% of the club roped off for vip.....cmon how many en vips did you have? I have heard from people it was a ghost town up there....

Yea bro.. me and my boy came down from the hip hop vip room at about 11:30 cuz the guys blockin the staircase said stay upstairs or when u come down u are not allowed back up.. so the first time we tried comin down and they said that we went back up.. and the next time we said it we need to get down to the main floor.. now at that time the club was packed already so imagine if every floor was open that there woulda been plenty of room for everybody cuz it was dead up there for the first hour and a half.. and who knows maybe some ish wouldnt have broken out on the main floor.. but thats GK's call for the next event.. keep things simple and u shouldnt have any problems in the future..

and oh yea.. this is my 2nd post on TA after a hiatus of over a year and lots of sn changes.. so hello to everyone on here and i know most of u already.. i hope the New Year brings u everything that u are looking for.. :D

hahaha... I totally forgot about that jacket... 4 guys of varying sizes taking turns to get warm... just to avoid a long ass wait at coat check!
