Actually, my and my friend walked by him outside. He was dead. Cops pulled to the curb, looked at him and drove off. His friend was just standing there with him lookin like he didnt know what to do. Was pretty weird to be a part of but we just kept walkin. Nothing much else you can do.

Wow. That's awful cheery.

Overall it was a great way to spend NYE. Big ups to Godskitchen and hope they help bring back quality parties to NYC's nightlife.
Anyhow, back to last night. Got in around 10:30 after a short wait outside. Ikon looks much better now (haven't been there since it was still Exit). O'Bir spun a great set with non-stop energetic tracks. Nice build-up for the countdown. Then PvD took over and kept the energy up with a good mix of old & new tracks and his usual bouncing, air piano, and fist-pumping.

Some of the negatives:
-Getting downstairs thru that 5-foot section of hallway by the 2nd flr bathrooms was ridiculous.
-Very crowded on the main floor for most of the night. Add on the usual squatting Asians who decide to set up camp on the dancefloor = no room to dance and had to step all over people.
-The group smokers who decide to light up all at once to create a mushroom cloud of secondhand smoke.
-The senior citizen zombie dancers who kept bumping into me.
-The fights that broke out on the main floor.
-The NYPD Asian photo opportunity at the end. Almost got trampled after they decided to close off the exits for a bit while hordes of people were trying to leave by shoving and pushing.
TRANCEEEE

what a night, want to thank all of u for showing me a great time on my 21st bday =) i had so much fun. i was really glad to meet alot of u =)
midnight was absolute madness and so euphoric. i had not heard pvd drop for an angel yet so that was my absolute highlight. so glad he did.
there were a couple other treats but i think he played a better set at summerstage. the first 3 hrs were amazing but after that i felt like he tapered off a bit after that. maybe its cause he was playing some stuff i didn't recognize. still an amazing night.

Happy New Year =)

What I want to know is how these stabbings were kept under wraps.
Yeah it was on that NY1 website but it didn't say anything about what happened in the club.
If Ikon came under heavy scrutiny for poor security I think they might actually fix things enough so that maybe fights don't break out anymore.

That was an amazing night, xpander was awesome at countdown and pvd throwin on some older hits was sweet. I somehow was in the vip area for the first 2 hours and didn't realise it until I noticed all the people wearing wristbands and security checking for them. Vip wasnt anything special besides ree food which i didnt touch because some greasy lookin guy was over there lickin his fingers and goin at it but there was lots of rooms and lots of hot girls. Plus gettin to see Jon and pvd close up. Besides the fukin fights it was a sweet night. Seemed like pvd played a lot of filler but cant expect a ton out of six hours. It was awesome though. The floor cleared out quite a bit later on and I kind of regret missin the last 15 minutes or so because friends were tired. If anyone has links to vids or tracklisting that would be great.

I knew that was U2 cause i was jumping around in the VIP when i heard that lol...(note to self-p/u nu-nrg disc if avail)

I can pick out that tune anywhere--i absolutly love U2 and that is one of my fav songs. if it wasnt the nu-nrg track- the begining sure sounded like U2
