come on, at midnight, playing sasha - xpander? and then following it up with push - strange world... that was really really pleasant
pvd mixed it up with classics, the best of 2003 (which um really wasn't a good year), and some new stuff.
ikon... verrrrry interesting.
so i was around 3 fights and i'm lucky i didn't get hurt. vlad stepped in during one of the fights to separate some people, and considering the # of stabbings people have mentioned, he's very fortunate to not have been seriously injured.
this is the first time pvd has ended his set early. i'm sure the popo had something to do with this. he turned the volume down three times, once for each fight, just because i'm sure he had a birds eye view of everything going on... wtf, i mean it's new year's eve people. and let's be honest, non-ab asians were the ones involved it looked like. ugh they frustrate me so much whenever i go out.
it was great meeting some of the n00bie TAs and the regulars of course. pictures later. |

It's New Year's and it's PVD (oh and IKON, that place will never change). What did you guys expect with the crowd? It sucked, blah, blah, but knowing most everything PVD played was fun. I stayed clear of the dance floor until like 3. Guess I missed the fights...
Supposedly there are no casualties, as of yet, from the night. Sad that some people can't just enjoy the festivities. |

Multiple stabbings and massive bloody fights weren't expected by me...
Massive crowding and bumping was. Maybe some small fisticuffs too... |

| I'm glad we didn't make the trip down from Ottawa, Canada then. Sounds like there were too many stabbings and fights for my liking. Don't you guys have security doing searches before people enter the club? How the hell do people pass by with knives on them? Sounds like a bunch of crap to me.:whip: |

one can always stab with keys :( there was a security check upon entry, you know, empty out pockets/pat down... there wasn't as much security on the dance floor as compared to crobar or avalon |

i think there were a good amount of security, i saw a lot of people getting tossed out. it seemed like they didn't want anything to do with the fights on the floor though.
maby roxy is the best place to have big partys... |

That sucks. I'm no professional stabber, but keys? That I would like to see. I was actually thinking about buying VIP for this event, and dropping some good coin, because I'm a big fan of PVD's, and when I saw him in Toronto at Guvernment this past summer, he ripped up the place. I would hate to have paid $250, and have my life in danger.:rolleyes: |
