Based on his reply, I see your point now :sadgreen:
Moral Hazard
This is idiotic! Women pay more for a haircut because their cuts are generally more complicated thus take longer. Some woman who goes to the local barber and has her head shaved pays the same as a man getting the same cut. Additionally, with the dry cleaning, women's clothing tends to use more delicate textiles which necessitate more gentle chemicals. these chemicals are more expensive to produce, therefore, it cost more to use them. If my wife brings my suits to the dry cleaner's it costs the exact same as if I take them.

Why is it when any sort of discrimination is alleged people only look at the surface and never beyond. Some times there are very justifiable reasons for a state of inequity to exist.

dude, you hit it right on the nail with this post.

and same sort of analysis has to be used when looking at car insurance.

Interesting how double standards work these days isn't it?

Wow :eyes: how intuitive of you.

To quote your own words (discerning as it is)...

Actually, IMO your the one looking at the surface.
Women go in to get a haircut trim and pay $20, man goes and he pays $9.
A man's cotton shirt to a dry cleaner is cheaper than a woman's cotton blouse. Both made of cotton and of equal material. No more expensive chemicals needed.
Why....greed of course....business greed

I suppose it's fair that men pay cheaper for car repair then women do? And why men bus drivers make more than women school bus drivers.
This thread has got to be one of the biggest jokes I've ever read.

BTW there is NO justifiable reasons for a state of inequity to exist :wtf:

let me guess, mindless dribble about some double standard or something. 3 posts in a row, must be getting on his nerves.

anyways, like i said before. i personally don't care if i pay more for a haircut. never experienced the dry cleaning thing before.

but i have experienced other forms of discrimination especially in my field of work. but that is about to change.

actually if you cared to read which obviously you dont youd see that i was in fact accusing you of being a female chauvenist.

And whats even more ironic is how this person puts me on her ignore list yet tends to respond to most of the threads i create.

Interesting

For example, i know that insurance in TO costs WAY more than insurance up here, but that only makes sense seeing the amount of traffic you have down there, the increased risk of accidents to get in, etc. etc.

Interesting piece to ponder ;)

Not to get off topic, but the whole insurance thing and location is a joke really. Someone in Barrie is less likey to get into a car accident then me? I drive maybe 500km/month, where as a friend of mine who commutes from Barrie (which MANY!! do), drives 120km/DAY. Last time I checked, I had to be ON the road driving to get in an accident, somehow I think my chances are far less, yet I pay way more for that very reason.

Absurd.
