Van Nguyen - Hang or not to hang? (pg. 10)

Renegade
I was at work until 9am this morning and was counting down the last minutes of my shift as Van Nguyen counted down the last minutes of his life. I tried to imagine what it must be like to be trapped in a cell like that, knowing that everything about you - what you see, what you think, what you are capable of doing - will soon be taken away from you for ever. It's impossible of course, but - like Soups said - trying to put yourself in that position just makes everything around you seem that much more real and that much more significant. No-one should have to be the victim of the sort of barbarism that Van Nguyen was subject to this morning and to anyone who thinks that what has just occurred is in anyway acceptable - or morally justifiable by any definition of the word - then they need to take a long hard look at themselves and their notion of what is "right". There is never any credible justification for killing a defenceless man. Never.

I'll come back and add to this later when I'm less angry and less likely to cause offense to certain posters.

Everyone on these boards should read that.

No it didn't. Just don't think killing people has an ethical variable.
