damns im TORN...but most likely be at armin though. Gabes going to armin so we're going to armin. I hate it when I have to choose cuz I haven't been seen Sasha in awhile. But I feel like dancing like I did at Ferry so Armin it is :D |

I don't know what people did before trance music came along and gave everyone something to dance to. :rolleyes:
You know, being a trance apologist doesn't really necessitate criticizing everyone else's opinions of enjoyable EDM. |

Sasha has proven that he can beatmatch for years he switched over ableton to be able to live edit tracks and create mashups....He also still uses cdjs quite a bit because he's gotten weary of exclusively using a computer for hours during a dj set....Armin trainwrecks live and has awkward transitions quite frequently which is kind of sad because trance is generally the easiest genre of edm to mix....and if you didnt know he mixes all of his ASOT shows on ableton...does that mean armin sucks too? |

Mixing his show on Ableton is different then mixing live as a dj in a club. Don't compare the two, it's not the same. The same goes for a cd. You would expect mixing on a cd to be perfect which is why its touched up with software, like any band in the world would do. And to say that Armin trainwrecks frequently just goes to show you have never seen him live. He mixes almost flawlessly and builds his sets nicely. I will admit Sasha is a better mixer from what I have seen, but he also has a computer sitting at his side so I would expect nothing less from him. But again, Sasha bores me and that is just the end of it. Sorry, but that is how I feel about the style of music he plays. And what pisses me off even most is the fact that his companion, Digweed, will forever be in Sashas shadow when Digweed is clearly a better DJ. |

how's it any different? mixing is mixing is mixing whether by vinyl, cd, or abelton and whether live in a club, at home, and to a lesser extent, in studio (because it can be touched up, you're right there)
bostondubs did not comment about the frequency of armin's trainwrecks behind the wheels, YOU added that yourself. awkward transitions yes, he's always had that kind of problem. he said, armin trainwrecks. heck i've seen sasha trainwreck too. if it happens on a consistent basis then you have problems. read carefully before commenting.
i think digweed is a pretty damn big name in his own right. |

agreed, and actually each DJ holds their own for different reasons. I totally got into Sasha's INVOLVER work. Then again I couldn't stop dancing at my first Digweed party last September and I would def go to see him again...basslines were SIIICK

one last comment. armin has LATELY gotten better with building up sets. but when i first saw him in 03, he'd always have an hour (in 3 hour and 4 hour sets no less) where he seemed lost and i would just stand there doing nothing. so it happens to the best of any dj |
