^^ wow. thats just really stupid. what youre basically admitting is you have absolutely no reason to believe what youre saying at all.

im not saying it wasnt edited to show us the dumbest responses, but for you to dismiss something on a show you know nothing about is pretty intellectually dishonest.

but would surely know where the Australia or Italy is

yeah, just like im sure me and friends havent convinced whole bunches of US soldiers that as a sign of manhood we wrestle wombats and make pants out of their skins ;) or how many times ive seen americans ask about riding kangaroos to school...

the most advanced and powerful nation in the world has some of the dumbest people. deal with it.

no not really. What part is stupid and what's so stupid about it, hmm? People try to put on their best face for the cameras. How many times have you seen (in any country on earth) someone who doesn't know his mic is on say something totally ed up and contradicting himself from the time he was aware of being taped or on air. I just saw it 2 minutes ago on Showtime's Penn and Tellers Bull, episode about Feng Shui. Some dude was re-arranging the room and talking about how "great" it is and how "energy is flowing through the house". Then when the owner walked out the room he fell on the couch and was like "wow, this looks like " without even realizing it.

So, therefore I've proved a few points already.

Yeah, and I'm sure they serious. Maybe that's cause you don't understand their humour, just the same they don't understand deadpan sarcasm that's dominant in English and Australian humour? And yeah, me and alot of people i engage in conversations with think of Australia as a desert full of only wombats and kangaroos. Surely, phrases like "ride your kangaroo" have never been a part of the mass culture regarding Australia. It's not even considered a sort of symbol of Ausies or anything. You're right.

totally irrelevant to the question at hand. that has nothing to do with whether the americans in question were replying honestly to the questions posed by the "reporter".

well, you werent there einstein so go and make some assumptions if you like but thats pretty stupid as well. and EVERYONE in the world understands american humour. your popular culture drowns the world in your simplistic set-up gag => make gag routine found in 99% of your .

at the end of the day, the CNNN guys made fun out of your moronic populace and you can choose to deny that if you will, but again you havent provided a single shred of evidence to back that up. "oh, i choose not to believe this coz americans couldnt be that stupid".

mwahahaha, irony.

You're one of the few people I ever met who think that is real. And if someone honestly doesn't know something that was taped they wouldn't allow it to be broadcasted and seem stupid :). that CNNN thing reeks of being fake. Ok, then it's fair to say all BITS Jon Stuart and Steven Colbert do are real as well...riiiight

the true irony is that you assume and grumble on without any sense of direction or a bit of brain function and keep thinking you're right. How do you know I wasn't there? Aren't you NOT supposed to assume. haha, you're a simple boy.

The parts of CNNNN where they go around and ask americans questions are definately real; they may edit it to only include the funniest responses while omitting the responses of people who answer correctly, but that doesn't make the ones included fake. Remember Lepanto you have seen very little of this show (i'm assuming you have seen this one clip?) so you aren't arguing from a very informed perspective. They've done quite a few of these things in the US, some that i can remember are:

How do you think Osama should be punished:
a) life imprisonment
b) electric chair
c) public hanging
d) being lowered into a vat of acid
this one had some interesting responses!

Whats the name of a country that starts in U?
most people couldn't think of a country and a few people answered Uruguay; they all laughed when the CNNNN reporter said "what about the United States?" - i admit i probably wouldn't got this one :P

on the streets of Kentucky they asked:
"what does the K in KFC stand for?"
LOL

and you can relax a bit Lepanto because they take the absolute piss out of people on the streets of Sydney aswell, but in areas other than geography because Australians are on average a little more savvy than Americans in that respect ;)

I haven't seen an entire episode from these guys so it would not be wise for me to pass judgement would it? ;)

Hey Laz, are you going to Ferry Corsten @ Sky (I think it's the 15th?)?

Look I think I am jealous. Yesterday on "60 mins" they showed footage of Dannish women. They were just so blonde and beautiful. And they looked like they had personality something most American girls are missing. I have gone on so many dates with American women and I can tell you that a lot of them are boring.

Its just you know I wished I meet that someone who was responsible and someone who wouldn't be so stupid and immature.

Oh I need to get out more. So is anybody from Denmark?
