Whats wrong with you Europeans? (pg. 2)

It's envy. We have everything. Everything good comes from here. All the movies they watch, the good tv (not thier local crap programming), all the good music (except trance), all the inventions in their house (TV, phone, light bulb, car, microwave)
Then they like to call Americans stupid and lazy when we work longer than any European country. We don't take 2 month vacations and close everything down at 4pm.
If Americans are so stupid then what the hell so great is coming out of Finland? Netherlands? Poland? Germany? Switzerland?

Movies come out here, but many of them suck. They are all rehashes of old movies, remakes, and crappy sequels. Rarely are there GREAT movies. Most of the good and innovative movies are made outside the USA. Many of the new inventions are being made in Japan, only most of the older inventions were made in the USA. All of our music really isn't that good as you stated, albeit popular. Our television's also going downhill with the mass takover by reality television.

no, we live 9-5 lives and have a divorce rate above 50%. We buy two story houses yet hardly live in them beyond wearing a path from the kitchen, to the television, to our bed.

Eh, dunno enough about them and their primary exports or what they are making. I know Switzerland has a lot of banks that rich people keep their money in because it's actually secure and I'm sure the other countries listed are doing something worth mentioning.

America suffered as much as Europe has??? What the hell does that have to do with anything? :conf: :conf: America has only been a country since 1776.
Japan leads the world technology wise?? There's more to technology then personal electronics (which we invented most the crap they improve on and make for cheaper). Read a book. And eat a dick. |

I don't hate it actually. If anything I feel sorry for those that cannot see beyond their own borders, however, I understand that is not all or even most Americans. I actually quite like the US and nearly every US citizen I've ever met. The purpose of my post was to explain why most of the world does not like the US, I was not speaking of myself. That said your knee jerk response really just serves to corroborate what I stated in my initial post. |
