Nope. He means that trance is CRAP when all the generic tracks of today are so perfectly mixed and blended that an entire hour or two goes by, and it is the music actually STOPPING that wakes you from your sleep. |

Deadly.
Shame huh, that a naive moron such as myself is permitted to post on public forums... and say really REALLY stupid things such as 'Armin mixes well, and is so in tune with what tracks will mix perfectly together, that it's actually quite boring'.
I do seem to be the only person in the world that doesn't get the 'Armin' thing though, so I do fully accept I'm wrong ;)
Meanwhile ISOS5 has all tracks I've never heard, but the reasons for inclusion seem spot on... hope they're as melodic and memorable as they appear on paper! |

Armins mixing is average at best. and he has poor track selection. that doesent mean that hes any better or worse than teisto. theyre pretty much in the same league.
as far as ty mixing and good track selection go Id agree with you if you were to list something like Tranceport as a prime example. but even the mixing there is tollerable.
Oakenfold is known for not so great mixing but through the right track selection and excellent flow the mix shined. with Tiesto, the tracks are average, theres bearly any flow and the mixing is atrocious. I dont understand what the appeal is here? |

| Agreed. The 2nd cd is awesome by any standards and it is mixed very well. First cd is good too, but 2nd cd is kind of its own league. If he would have released it by itself, it would have become an instant classic. |

I think 2nd cd is boring, transitions are okay, but there is not 1 track which stands out for me, and there is no flow, like someone said before, all tracks are so "slow" through the whole cd..
I really like 1st cd. transitions could have been better, but anyway, the isos sound is available compared to the 2nd disc. |

There are some pretty good songs in this new ISOS but if you just heard the comp without knowing its the new ISOS you would never know because the feeling has totally changed. I only see a couple of songs that give you the old feeling that we all know about. The only song that gave me that feeling was Parker & Hanson - Let Me Be (Original Extended) :p
And again other songs are decent but shouldn't have been on this comp. One last thing is Tijs doing his ISOS's with a theme location now??? LOL he should just listen to ISOS1&2, and hopefully it might hit him. |
