| If he made this for the 3% (which seems to be a metaphor for TA now), it would have been perfect cos he would have known that it would have been examned with a microscope. It would also have been 1CD of quality rather than 2CDs which was a common complaint of ISOS 4. |

I really admire someone taking the brave step to try to shorten the length of tracks, and make transitions as fast as possible, to stop the listener from getting bored (incase they don't have a perfect ear for repetitive music yet), but there are programs that these people can utilise to stop rough blatant and obvious mixing.

I doubt it was for die-hard fans, because his die-hard fans can stand (and prefer) the longer, smoother mixes. He didn't have any need to make it short and sharp.
Even for short and sharp, i think he could've done a better job, by mixing in the cued track at a much earlier stage of the cued track. That would've made it a much smoother mix. He should keep bringing in the cued track's Bass, Highs, and Mids, smoothly and slowly, and mix them with the playing track for a longer time. He wouldn't need to worry about beatmatch, because he (or whoever it is), is obviously using a computer. He could even utilise loops, and kill them when he wanted so the cued track would start building up exactly when he wanted to. The exiting track could be looped also, and killed exactly when he wanted it to start getting simpler again towards the end.
The short, and sarp mixing would be better for n00bs to repetitive music.

You do gotta' admire the days when a release like this could generate THIS much discussion!
I actually rather liked this one, after I got it due to a shipping error (was ordering Mark Norman's In Trance We Trust CD, I think?). Was a nice chaser complementing my long, after-the-fact, guilty indulgence of early Schulzy McProg sets. |

I agree, I liked 5 the best out of the 4-7 series. I occasionally still listen to this one, even some 20 years later. |

I definitely miss the days when a piece of music came out, and a 40 page thread accompanied it. |
