I love how considerate all of you are.
Keeping in mind that you are on PUBLIC transportation, and therefore might want to consider how your music is affecting the PUBLIC. Some people listen to their music at RIDICULOUS volumes. Even if I like the song, I find it annoying to have to listen to it via their PERSONAL music device.
I'm sure you'd find turning it down to a more comunally feasible volume would not only save you a plethora of dirty looks but maybe some of your hearing as well.

well she couldve moved somewhere else on the bus. but the thing that pisses me off the most is that she said she didnt like the music. if she wouldve just said that it was loud, then fine. and asking a second time to turn it down even after the person turned it down half way, which is very considerable, is just very impolite on her part. |

| I would turn it down, but if she asked again, I would say, I've already turned it half the volume, if I turn it down any further i won't be able to listen to it. There shoulnd't be much sound coming out of it if it's headphones. I do think it's somewhat rude to tell someone to turn their mps/dismans etc down, when usually there is little sound eminanting from them. PPl just need to suck it up b/c it's really not a lot of sound, I mean, they woudln't tell ppl who were having a not excessively loud conversation to be quiet, when it's public transportation there will be all kinds of noises, if you don't like it drive a car or don't like in a major city. |

I'd much rather turn my music up a notch then sit there and hear background noises on the bus/subway and listen to people talk. It works both ways; I woulden't go up to someone thats having a convesertaion and tell them to keep it down. |

| all depends on how they asked, and what song i was listening too lol. But im one to listen to music really loud and have had ppl look at me but never asked me to turn it down. Unless they asked polietly i wouldnt turn it down, its a free country and if i wanna listen to my music loud then i sure as hell am not gunna change that! |

| I was told that I could listen to the radio at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven, I told Bill that if Sandra is going to listen to her headphones while she's filing then I should be able to listen to the radio while I'm collating so I don't see why I should have to turn down the radio because I enjoy listening at a reasonable volume from nine to eleven. |

| I'm always really conscious of this. I don't blare my music, but it's certainly not a whisper in my ear - and even when it's at its loudest, I have taken off my earphones and I can barely hear it when they are out of my ears. I can't imagine having it so loud that others can hear it well enough to complain. |

| There's no way i'd turn down my music, I'd politely tell them to go themselves. I have to listen to other people's music through their headphones sometimes but i don't complain. I understand that at times you just want to block out everything else but the music. |
