positive or negative threads dont bother me. all i know is that i had an amazing time. i danced till my sneakers were on fire and my legs were numb. the music totally buried inside my skull and just letting those sick ass beats take over my soul. ok i sound gay but you know what i mean.
anyways, true pvd fans love em through the ups and downs. even if his set wasnt the best...the mere fact where it was and pvd spinning was enough. hes always welcome in ny anytime. bring it.

Female vocal, sounded a lot like Alanis Morissette (No, it wasn't Couch). Damn sick vocal though...anyone remember it, any idea what it was?

I think we have some new additions to the tracklist. It may have been Thrillseekers - By your side I could have sworn that he played it. And I thought I heard Gabriel and Dresden - Without You Near Instrumental Mix on my way to the bathroom at about 3-4am. The again I could be totally shot. Someone mentioned Stormy Skies, yes he rocked it and he also played Kryszytof Chochlow - Release!!! :eyespop:

it was probably placebo - every you every me. he played a mix with less vocals than the one he played in san fran (Lexy & K-Paul Remix).

Add DK8 - "Murder was the Bass" to that list

also... I don't think he played Timo Maas - Pictures (unless it was during the two minutes where I went to the bathroom) - I love that tune, and def would have remembered if he played it...

I was in the bathroom upstairs when he played it smokin' a cigarette int the 10ft by 10 ft handicap stall... dancin' around like a nut tellin' my gal pal "This is the record I got yesterday"...

if you're talking about paul playing pictures, it didn't happen. maybe through the walls of the bathroom it made whatever he was playing at the moment sound like pictures - especially if you wanted to hear the track. ;)

What can I say?? We all went to Disney Land!

More pictures and memories for the family scrap book, right Kel?

it has been ID'd many times;) he's playing it in NYC since 2 or 3 years before that summerstage. it's called "LAMBDA - 'NEW YORK'." as for which mix, i don't know - it could be paul's just for ny mix for all we know. but he played the exact mix on last week's radio fritz soundgarden show as his last track. maybe our german members can listen and tell us what he says about it (drizzt81? ;) )

PVD was my favorite DJ for years and years. The last two times I saw him, I really hated it. I think he lost his touch.

I know there will be some people here that will say I don’t know what I am talking about, and that PVD was amazing last night. But to my opinion, he really sucked. He hardly spins any Trance anymore. It’s just hard house, and sounds terrible. I know he is probably trying to evolve, but in this case, he is evolving the wrong way.

In the middle of the set, the music got shut down because of some technical difficulty and he just stood there helpless. I think that his music was so bad, that the decks decided to shut down on him. He didn’t get the message, and got back on after about 5 minutes, and continued with his repetitive boring beats.

I will not even begin to describe the crowd that showed up to this party. It’s really sad. There was a group of Asians next to me. One of them was passing out, and instead of taking him outside, his friends were all hugging him and forcing him to stand up. You could see he was not in good shape, and I really felt bad for him. What’s up with these drug infested people?

On another note, the venue was done very well, and the sound system rocked. The place is really organized. Coat check was great. Thmbs up to Made Event on this production.

pick up some of the tracks and listen to them at home, maybe you just fell off the progression because he didnt play them in such a progressive order... I happened to like the style of last night, it was very diffrent.

I agree about the decks though, I thought the same thing, they gear must have been mad at him :P

Well, as I've said about 1,000 times, I wasn't at Roseland on saturday night, being only 18 and not having the insane connections that DJ Trace has (I respect that though, Polish people rock --- PvD w Roselandzie musialo byc zajebiste!).

Even though I didn't hear the set that he played at Roseland, I've got to disagree with those that claim that PvD has become predictable, and, dare I say, boring. I constanly find myself listening to a lot of the older tracks that welcomed me into the world of dance music, and van Dyk's hits were an important factor in that welcome. When I go to see PvD, I want to hear his classics and his hits... they're what make it unique to me. Now, I'm not the biggest Tiesto fan anymore, but I will tell you that one of the high points of his last show in NYC was definately "Love Comes Again", a song that has been out for who knows how long. Other DJs don't play these tracks anymore, so it's up to their producers to keep them alive and moving the crowds at countless clubs around the world.

Oh, and though I can't speak to his set at Roseland, I've got to say that PvD at Roxy was anything but predictable. For God's sake, the guy dropped "Dark Beat" at a 2005 trance show --- that was absolutely amazing and unexpected!

His last Roxy set was very much like the one at Roseland.
