So... if I don't like a club night, I'm supposed to lie and say I loved it? Or am I just not supposed to post at all?

I saw James Zabiela at Pacha. The next week, I went to Boston to see him again. Save for maybe 4 or 5 tracks, the sets were COMPLETELY different. And they were both fantastic. Paul van Dyk used to do this. Not anymore though. I swear, look at recent PvD playlists and just mix and match the tracks and you can predict exactly what he's going to play at his next gig. It gets tiresome. And that's the reason I last saw him at Summerstage (which I really didn't go to for him, I went just to get out and dance outside) and I will never see him again. BORING.

Nothing But You > TooL > Crush > For an Angel.

Every time.

its been a hell of a weekend. :eyespop:

last night was pretty awesome...the extra room to move around was really sweet and the crowd seemed real energetic and not too pushy :)

had some earplugs in so the sound didnt bother me much, and it was fun takin them out for some of the crazier moments  :eyespop:

and im a sucker for the dogzilla track so i didnt really mind that much :p ...all in all had a blast

First of all, I apologize for the tall, Russian kid that was COMPLETELY obnoxious. He ruined a big chunk of the night for me.

Anyway, yeah I totally wasn't expecting such hard, bass-y stuff outta PvD, but he was kickin'! Just wish I felt well enough to really dance, and not just kinda sway like a loser! :stongue:

sooooooo piiiissed IIIII miiiissed eeeeeeendiiiiiiiing :whip:

Hello RobDaWG.

The track you are talking about is "wunderbar" by the german group. I love that track myself, and was lip-synching, since I know the words.

I enjoyed dancing, and this was one of the best memorable set PVD did.

BTW: In case you want to know, I was the guy wit the white adidas (3 black stripes) shirt.

Peace.

Oh man, there's a track I wanted ID'd... well one (I'm gonna assume it's called Wonderful), the German vocal track he played after Binary Finary <--- always great to hear too!

But I think he played another one a little later with German vocals, any ideas?

TOOL *should* be RETIRED and Nothing But You is just annoying (it was cool hearing it on that Commercial but I can think of other classic songs that I'd rather hear him drop in a 6 hr set.

That night was amazing ! Good sound system (I wear earplugs all the time now, so did'nt bother me it was loud...)

TELL ME WHYYYYYYYYYYY !!!
Thank god to the one who asked Paul to play this one; i've been waiting 5 years to hear it live ! It did my night !!

I do agree with some other perople in the thread that I found the set of Paul more on the "tech" sound, but I did like it... I do prefer is trance sound, like I heard when I saw him at Ibiza.

The venue was nice, good lighting system, nice crowd, room to dance ! Nothing to compare with Armin@Spirit recently that was way overpacked...

See you at Central Park in august !

oh, and PVD signed my t-shirt at the end of his set... SWEET !!!

Such as Second Sun - Empire. Or The Spell. Why does he always play those 4?
