In addition to the 2nd rendition of "Without You," he really needs to stop doing that where he plays "Nothing But You," "For An Angel," and "Time of Our Lives" every time. Look, we all know them, we used to love them (before you closed every set with them), but it's getting old.

I wasn't there. But, I totally agree. That's totally getting a little absurd. I remember when I saw him at Space in Miami '04. He played Crush 4 times. Yes... 4 times.

Though... the masses don't seem to care about that stuff. Bleh.

But I think he played another one a little later with German vocals, any ideas?

First heard it at Roxy in Nov. 04. 2X actually. Earlier in the set and around the last hour. It was also on that PVD set that somebody posted on here from that nite. Quality sucked but imo, it was one of his better sets.

i really don't remember hearing dogzilla before he played it at the end. will have to check with my friends. first half of the set was amazing! it seemed paul was just about to slow things down for a breather when the music shut down for 5 minutes and he tried to save it with a hard track and then slowed down.

the chillout period after power failure or whatever was like hearing radio fritz for two hours. it was cool, and sounded way better in a club than it does streamed on fritz.de with pvd talking all over but it did not lead to the full-on banging closing we expect from paul in a 6 hour nyc thing! when he did pick things up at the very end, he created the ultimate anti climax mixing into TOOL, for an angel etc, therefore wasting a huge chunk of the already weak (too short) 45 minutes or so of "harder" stuff towards the end, which is nearly not enough. we were missing about an hour of insanely banging techno, and an hour and a half of full-on pvd with all the uplifting goods as a closing!

still had a great time, and i blame the technical failure for paul's not so adequate second half. the first half really was good though and i had a lot of fun for most the night nonetheless. our pvd crew rocks. u guys know who u are ;)

Nothing against you Groundhog Boy but who the hell is WE. YOU used to love them, YOU think they're getting old. I thought that was the best part of the night. The place went CRAZY when he dropped Dogzilla the first time, wtf why not give it to us again!

LOL...

Can you really say anything since this is your first time seeing Paul (or so it seems)???

After 10-15 rounds of TOOL, Crush, NBY, FAA...it gets old. So keep your mouth shut young padawan.

FYI: its beem more like 40-50 rounds, and the long ass verion of Crush that Paul plays out all the time, makes me want to take a nap.

Anyways, how was the sound system ?

Well except for the fact that the sound system was OFF for ~5mins during the middle of Pauls set...

The sound was bangin. There were 4 (hanging) speaker arrays in each corner, and stacks of subs on the floor underneath them. Additional subs were in the back middle too. Omni-directional speaker boxes were hung all across the floor in somewhat of a matrix (about 15-20 of them).

The sound was very loud (almost painful at times). Nonetheless, the place was rockin and Paul had it cranked. If there was one thing that was lacking, it would be some holes the mids freqs. I recall knowing a melody from one song that was being played, but the melody was hard to hear unless you pluged up your ears to reduce the overpowering bass.

I perfered the sound at Roxy.
