TBH not the thing I've expected, but we'll see / hear what Armin has done with those tracks... ;)

Predictable and pretty bland tracklist tbh. I thought there would be a lot more in the way of new material. But Armin's ASOT compilations are about making money these days i suppose

Well it's sad, but true... :( Hope that Markus' Coldharbour Sessions 2006 will be different (better than this).

It's genuine.

I get the impression that unless at least half the tracks are total unknowns, never even been played anywhere or heard by a soul, people will moan that they've heard it all before.

My track has only been played once, ever, on my own guestmix on TATW and there's probably people out there who'd call Arisen overplayed!, simply because they ripped the show stream and have listened to that many times themselves. But they only have themselves to blame.

You have no idea how frustrating this is for us producers and the dj's too. Sometimes you HAVE to test the water to see how people react to tracks, but in doing so open the p2p floodgates, then when tracks get licensed onto compilations, everyone complains its overplayed, i wonder why...

Doesn't matter if the tracks 6 months old, 3 months, a month!, people feel the need to call a track old and overplayed. Pointless.

This isn't A State of Total Unknowns, this is A State Of Trance 2006, a compilation of good tracks from the past 12 month odd, no doubt beautiful mixed together in a very musical way. But I guess we'll only really know that when its released.

Although some new tunes in there (surprisingly many actually) it looks very boring to me, but it is mostly because the trance nowadays sucks big time. The 2004 Asot kicks still arse :D So I guess IŽll leave this one to the store and listen to some good old trance.... Peace out :)

Edit: What a lame cover BTW (if that is going to be the real one)
Demoted
disc one looks horribly boring, disc two looks alright.
yaman
can't wait

i can only agree, it seems like it actually is impossible to make a tracklist to a compilation, that people will like, or is it only the bashers who replies to these threads and make it look like everybody dislikes it?

i think it looks pretty cool

Not my cup of tea, but each to his own.

One thing though.
11. Incolumis - One With Sanctuary

Cant understand why he's putting that near the end. Thats a warmup track, or an opener.
Reactic
yeah, not the thing I have expected, too, but at least this tracklist is better than the fake tracklists, and I only know 9 of 29 tracks..

but anyway, I'm not glad to see 2 armin tracks and kyau vs. albert tracks, but on the other hand congratulations to dj shah, seems like the year 2006 will be his breakthrough..
