Well you're certainly a good spokesman for that 3% then :stongue:

Tiësto's mixing has always been the same. Back in the day nobody cared, but the first time he hit #1 it was suddenly cool to hate him... so the very same people who loved him the year before for his controversial mixing now hated him for the very same reason.

doesn't sell itself. Stop living in a dreamworld.

i think i am, you on the otherhand are pleased with mediocracy. I don't hate tiesto, i don't even listen to him. I was just commenting on the article so stop going all fanboy on me.

Stop talking out of your ass. Where exactly do I say I'm pleased with mediocricy or even say I'm a fan of his?

People like you who don't even listen to someone and bash him anyway make me sick.

That doesn't sound PROFESSIONAL to me. Granted, I can understand DJ's of any level making a couple of mistakes, mis-phrasing and such but three to four consistently, go back to DJ school eh?

i don't think he makes the mistakes deliberately ;) he's basically saying he could avoid making as many mistakes by mixing safer, but doesn't like to do that

It's not generally a good idea to respond when you run out of "arguments". You'll just end up making a fool out of yourself.

i think i made all my points and im done arguing. I don't feel like i have to point out the obvious, thats all.

It's not tight, it's boring as . Your Sasha worship/Tiesto hate is really getting ridiculous. Pretty soon you'll turn out to be a parody of yourself.

Depends what your defenition of tight is. I took it as referring to its beatmatching ability (he was talking about midi clock)

Yeah you consider it boring, but that doesnt matter, we're talking about mixing in the technical sense, not about tracks played.

Also, I don't worship Sasha you bellend, I'm usually the first to say he does all with ableton and that hes a lazy bastard most of the time.
But I tend to enjoy the music he plays and the way he puts his sets together, and thats my problem, not yours, just as anyone who enjoys Tiesto is free to do so... though that doesn't mean we can't offer critisism/praise to either anymore.

Good fun to read up on your comments and ideas. Btw let's quit the flaming, it doesn't contribute to anything - and let's agree to disagree lol.

Let me add my 2 cents here about his 'I make 3, 4, 5 mistakes every night'. What I felt from the interview is that he is just trying to keep it all creative, open, on the edge - meaning his mistakes are not necessarily mistakes as in - big screw ups, but just - not mixes that are up to his par. Yes his mixing is rough at times - but I totally agree that it somestimes sounds uncomfortable - but many times it just WORKS. Isn't that how art works in a way? You experiment, you try new stuff and take risks, you don't do things over and over exactly the same way and as polished as possible - at least not when you're Tiesto.

His set Saturday was a good example. Lots of variety in the tracks, some awkward transitions, mostly a superbly manipulated party. And he sure got the party on several energy peaks till way after 4am.

Personally - I feel that however you mix - as long as you put your personality in it and be creative - as Tiesto is clearly trying, now even more than before - it's interesting to listen to.

Trance Nutter
T: Yeah, it's going to be interesting. I've worked with a very famous guy on it.

B: Keeping it vague,eh? (laughs)

T: Yeah (laughs). But what's interesting about it, the money, it all goes to charity

R: What charity?

T: It's called Dance for Life. It's a community education program. At the schools. They learn, the kids, to raise money for AIDS. And how to educate other kids how to prevent from getting AIDs. Like in Africa or in China.

Tiesto and Bono maybe??
I shudder to think, I really don't think those two would fit.........

very good interview. I'm glad he admitted that he was on "autopilot" and without inspiration for 2004/2005, cos quite frankly he was pretty during that time.

T: I try to read on some websites, like tranceaddict.com.
