what are you talking about? The real Tiesto? It's not Tiestos fault that the producers dont produce trance as back in Magik 6 era.
Does Fire & Ice (even though they are inactive now) produce stuff such as Silent Cry? Or does Pulser produce stuff such as Cloudwalking? Does VDM produce stuff such as No Hesitation? NO!
It's the producers fault! :E

Actually this is true... You can't expect him to keep on playing outdated tracks. BTW Tiësto is one of the dj's who actually does play some older tunes occasionally.

Ontopic: I really enjoyed the interview man :)... VEry good questions you asked there. I was also more or less satisfied with the way Tiësto answers, this shows he's a bit more down to earth than some people here tend to think...

And he knows he isn't a very tight mixer, he even admits it. I like that. Eventually its other people voting him #1... It's not entirely in his hands

Fighting aside, that was a great interview. We need more like that rather than your generic bull interview that we get so much of. Im sick of interviews where basically the interviewer is licking the arse of the DJ the whole time.

great in depth interview!

Great interview.
En he isn't completely wrong about Ableton's sound quality, as most people attending Dance Valley last year could attest.
Sasha's set on friday (with CD's & vinyl) sounded much "warmer" and better (and without any crashes) than saturday's set with Ableton.

Ableton's own EQs and other plugins are horrible. Using GOOD 3rd party plugs will increase sound quality to another dimension.

He could have never done this mashup live on CDJ/vinyl:

5. Kosmas Epsilon – Innocent Thoughts (Stel Remix)
6. Funk D’Void – All That Matters
7. Closer Musik – One, Two, Three (Ewan Pearson Remix)
8. Phonique – 99 & A Half featuring Alexander East (I:Cube Remix)

Which I consider to be art.

But this isnt about Sasha, its about Tiesto dissing Ableton live for no good reason.

Live? doubt it was live in the first place.

& he could mix 100 tracks together with ableton, Id still rather go see him with CDJ & vinyl...

I really liked this interview and what Tijs says about his mixing if totally correct, he mixes on the edge and that's what make his sets so lively. He has done this from the beginning and it works:)
