The US is missing some good opportunities, though. That kick outside the box a few minutes ago and that wide shot a minute ago were pretty wasted. |

If you're going to give Ghana a PK on such a bogus call, then you should give their keeper a red card for delaying the game just now with his antics.
Seriously, the US might not be the best team in the world, but one thing I have never seen them do is dive left and right and roll on the ground like they've been shot. The level of dramatic faking in this World Cup is disgusting, and save for retarded referees, it's the biggest problem in this sport today.
If the WC refs are going to be giving yellow cards for bumping another player, and reds for tripping them, then they need to be cracking down equally hard on divers. |

| That's ing PATHETIC! Ghana goes down more than Jenna Jameson... and are definitely less convincing in their act than she is. :mad: They should add 20 minutes to this match, just to compensate for all the Ghanian acting recitals. |

Bruce Arena is a coach. US team is a bush league but what are we going to do... We don't harvest the sport or tallent enough. I think for the sport to become relevant - someone will have to step in on a national level.
Yellow card for one of Ghana players - big deal. They don't carry over to next round. So, they can delay game left and right.
Ghana should just all collectively dive - this way, by the time they check them all out, the game clock will run out.
