ill go there mo.As much as i enjoy the styles of the resident dj...ITS NOT FUN TO DANCE ON A FLOOR WITH 6 CANDY KIDS AND NO ONE ELSE.Other than Howells this lineup is .Gene Farris plays the tiest cheesiest chicago house ever.(Welcome to 10 years ago)Heres an idea.

RAISE ING PRICES AND BOOK SOMETHING NEW AND GOOD.

this lineup makes me see that the beginning of the end is here, even though i didnt listen to those saying it at preach.

WAKE THE UP OR LET IT DIEBBQ
with the lineup like this, its like Circus, but not as nice,no chicks,and people who dont take 500 pills dont want to go.

I'm with Val and Jay on this... kinda weak. I was expecting some really big names in July... :/

I guess I'm gonna have to just wait for August...

Howells is good but he's no reason for me to run out and buy a ticket. Howells and Digweed is something... but Howells alone... meh

No offense to the residents. I just think ARIA needs to re-evaluate their business plan and update it's image. Like Jay said, it's like CIRCUS except CIRCUS is 10000x more commercial than ARIA and has much more people/girls. ARIA on a resident night (Creator's nights aside because he seems to pack them in) makes me feel dirty. 12 people on a dancefloor isn't a winning solution...

This is all especially sad after Friday nights steller show... that's the ARIA I remember... I had hopes that this was the beginning of a new era but that idea is slowly fading away... :(

I want my home back. :(

Somehow all those DJs Biggy promised us back in January don't seem to be appearing....

i know alot of dj's are dying for their shot and need a big break on this board, so they wont like what i have to say.

ARIA HAS TOO MANY RESIDENTS(if you can call it that)

how is a dj supposed to develop a following and get regulars for the club if they play once every 2 months.
A resident dj is defined to me a someone who works there weekly or bi weekly at least.

Circus=has a core of regulars who go every week
Stereo=same
Red Lite=same
Aria=no

maybe if aria was a bit consistent and offered the chance by letting certain residents draw their own crowds and hopefully drum up repeat business doing it this way.Go see all the big clubs in the other markets....they dont have 3459357 residents.Hats off to all the dj's that do a stellar job with their time, but aria is a huge place and unfortunatly none have the drawing power to fill it.

It does nothing to bitch, i just cant help it as Aria holds a special place in my heart but the way things are going with the place i feel sick to my stomach and dont feel like going ever again.

Biggy...dont get our hopes up by promising the people who actually go to your club all these great names then give us nothing.Next time just dont.

I agree with what you said about resident DJs. A perfect example of how this WORKS is what Creator has done to the place. I haven't been there myself but from the pics I saw of last months show the place was as packed as it was when Preach was there. Give DJs like Martin a chance to build up a following and keep them coming week in and week out...

Pretty lame.
See by NOT booking big int'nl djs you only bring out the regular junkies.
The more normal people arent willing to go to that hole unless there's a bigger dj that we cant hear everynight.
I've lost faith in Aria.

the smartest thing you have ever said on this board.
notice the difference between those who go to regular nights and the ones that come to the bigger ones...

normals dont like tap water;)

Guys you don't know what I would do if Ottawa had only something similar to ARIA. I think you MTL TA's don't realize how lucky you are to have a city with such an amazing nightlife. Maybe you should come live here for a bit and see. I don't know I've been to Aria once so far and it was fun. Anyways seems like you can never win...if bigger Dj's are booked certain peeps will complain its too much cheese or that the place is too packed. Ever though that maybe the DJ's are not always avaiable ? Also Aria i guess has some stiff competition with clubs like Stereo which I have yet to visit, but I dunno does Stereo have a mind blowing line up for July ? Anywho I guess people go or otherwise Aria would not be booking these "" Dj's, I mean its a business and you are not going to run an unprofitable business, but hey I don't know jack but I do know that ARIA is tooooo cool of a place to go down !

July 14th : TRANCE ALL NIGHT SERIES with Gabriel Batz + Mad + Nick Pilon

Are these guys any good ? I love Trannnnnce but are these guys worth me driving up to MTL ? And you think a decent crowd will shop up for this ?

Also what type of sound is Danny Howells ? Is he house or techno ?

LOL I am down for anything good.

Ottawa owns dude. Unless you're a crackhead, its tough to be a crackhead in ottawa.
We have some awesome clubs in ottawa that bring the big names.
Montreal is only worth it one weekend a month imo.
