July 2006 @ Aria after-hours (pg. 4)

Aria is finished I don't even see the point in having hope. It will never be the way it used to be EVER. This may sound harsh but I think the montreal scene is pretty boring right now and it has been for a while. The only afterhour I have respect for now is Stereo and ive only been there twice. Montreal died when Preach moved and Yaz got kicked from Aria but thats just my opinion.

did we say anything about him not being cool?? I don't think I did, I think I just said he can't make comments about Aria, but correct me if I am wrong. Don't worry Marcus, your friend isn't a target.. you can relax :p

i might be a noob but it is really sadening.. every mont i look at that line up and i just wish id read something interesting but i keep on telling myself "oh well, maybe next month".. sadly i haven't seen that month yet except when Markus Shulz came... doesn't the managment notice? dont they care?? dont they want money? :whip:

id rather see an increase in price for better djs than a ty line up for 10 dollars

Well, I will certainly not take part in this debate, but here is the July flyer ;-)

Marcus007
Nice flyer though. I dig it. :D

You know, I really don't want to debate, and I think many have valid points of view... altought some words are hard....

BUT, as you may see, june was a turning point in graphic design (flyers-posters), organized dj line-up (coherent theme nights instead of a resident mash-up),...

Preach, Dan, Howells....

You ask for new stuff? I work my ass off trying to introduce a great new artist, Andrea Doria. He missed his plane, and will definitly come back in even bettre conditions (august-september), but fact is, it is HARD to even get your attention on something new, the topic just dies at the bottom. Fact is, support for new stuff is weak.

Hopefully, Aria is looking into the rest of your comments.

Martin, what you've been during for ARIA has been great. I congrtulate you for all of the improvement I've seen over the recent weeks and none of this is directed towards you.

There are, however, some issues that go higher up to JFL. Like changing ticket prices and bringing bigger names.

I just don't want you to feel any of this is targetted towards you Martin because I assure you it isn't. Whether it be RM shows or ARIA shows, you know I'm supportive of your nights.

:)

I think aria is trying to compete with stereo for 'who can make the gayest flyer?':stongue:
