No worries, I really don't take it personal. I'm not looking neither for any flowers... I've been helping yes, but the changes you see right now, are in great part the will from Aria to make changes. Not me.

i'm just really passionate about what I do, but most of all, I hope for the edm scene to be in good health. And sometimes, I think there's a lot of agressivity and harsh words (which is common of boards, remember technodium.net?)... and sometimes we forget the positive things.

Tag, you seem to get a real kick from making every post an Aria bashing, why do you even bother to come in this topic if you hate the place so much?

I'm not one to enter these arguments but I think Martin, you should ignore what harsh comments are being posted. You are actually working in the industry, the comments are coming from wankers sitting at home on their computers who probably know very little in comparison to yourself.

I think everyone posting about Aria should go out and throw their own parties and promote their own club and see what it takes. Then come back and give some credible comments. Its easy to criticize but how many people are actually giving criticism with industry experience to back it up...

Unfortunately your probably the only one who is trying to do something positive for Aria. I respect what you are doing and don't think I wouldn't love to see Aria thrive once again but it just doesn't seem to be happening. Ive been following your work for 3 years now and I know you know your but 1 person isnt enough to dig Aria out of the ground.

and with that being said, I think this arguement should die. It is an ongoing topic of discussion for the last year now and hasn't been fixed yet. We know what you guys are trying to do as residents and you are working hard to get things back to what they were on as much of a level as you can. The rest isn't up to you. You don't own the club. As far as ppl bashing Aria, by simply stating a fact that it isn't what it used to be well I think that is quite apparent and obvious and it doesn't take a rocket scienist to figure that out either.

Aria isn't going to change unless the owner/management want it to change or do something about it to make it change. Yes they still have good parties from time to time again and yes the residents do a great job as well. I will still continue to go to Aria when I am in town as well nothing will change that regardless cuz like I have already said, Aria was the first afterhours club I EVER stepped foot into, even before Guv in Toronto and it will always hold a spot for me, so don't even say that I am bashing the club with some of the truthful comments I have posted cuz that isn't what I am doing.

One can only hope that someday things will change, but until then this arguement is getting old and repetitive and boring to say the least. Now can we all please move onto something new???

/end of rant!

If you want big dj's, forget it for Aria.
This is over! People are not supporting big dj's on a regular basis and this is why Aria don't care anymore about dj's who ask 10 000$usd+ to play clubs.

When we are sending a offer let's say for Infected Mushroom at 14 000$usd but Bal en Blanc send a 25 000$uds to compete us, what you want me to do? To book Infected at 25 000$usd???

600 people paid 15$ at Carl Cox and 1234 lost money, why we should book him?

Gene Farris is far to be cheesy and if you don't like Chicago house, just don't come that night. But Gene Farris is a amazing dj.

I never said Aria would book 10 dj's per month but only 2 and that's what we are doing. We are loosing less money at 15$ with less people than at 30$ with a dj who cost 15 000$usd.

We are trying to build a core of people who will come every week with out of town dj's or not.

If I have the choice to have a super club like Aria was before with a ton of superstar dj's and loose 1M$ a year, for sure I will choose the situation we are right now. Guest dj's make clubs loose money!

There is no more sponsors in Montreal, we can't pass flyers anymore (1600$ police ticket every time)and afterhours are less popular than before.

But if you would stop complaining and come, maybe we would get more dj's.

As far as our residents, they are the best in town IMHO:

I won't argue Carl is expensive.. but I was there that night and the room was full pretty early! It seems strange the promoters lost money, I don't know how many more people they expected to fit in there.
I thought the tickets were $20 or $25 too but I don't remember.
