I liked what shearer said at the end of the game in the studio, "i wouldnt be suprised if Rooney goes back to the Man utd camp and chins Ronaldo"
Then he promptly shut up, cos he was on air.
But i can see it happening, Ronaldo is a little anyway. |

England weren't good enough to progress, plain and simple.
I feel a lot better with Brazil going out at the same stage as us though. |

The hatred in the pub for ronaldo was off the scale.
Having seen a slo-mo of the "stamp" - appears to me that rooney got in a tangle with the two players and basically landed his foot on him, i dont believe there was any intent to do it.
On the whole it was a shoddy world cup. Lampard had a shocker. The Theo Walcott / Defoe situation proved us all right, and Sven wrong.
Atleast we've finally seen what Hargreaves is all about, but then if Sven hadnt made a career of putting him on with 20mins left at totally the wrong time, might have seen that long ago. |

I fully believe that the next tournament will be walcott and rooney up front. I don't think Sven made a mistake, not sure there was any need for another striker in any of the games. Besides it will have been invaluable experience for him. |

I agree with all 3 of these comments,
The reason why Hargreaves got slated before hand is because he plays for Bayern Munich, and people here dont get to see him play week in week out, so he dosnt get the exposure in England. and they dont know what he's all about and there quick to judge the lad.
I Thought he worked his ass off, ran after everything, hounded players, sure he gives away the odd foul or two, but his work rate was brilliant, and i was so happy for him when he scored his penalty. |

This is nothing new, Ronaldo has always been a sly scheming greasy cheating prick.
England lost because our best crop of players to choose from in 40 years was not used properly by a terrible manager. He didn't even pick the right squad, never mind pick the right players in each match. He had no clue what his best formation and tactics were.
True there were some e performances by individual players but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that Sven well and truly ed it all up.
So many questions that will never be answered. Why the was he given such an easy ride in that press conference this morning?
Ah well, back to supporting my real team, Liverpool... |

U are talkin crap, he knew wot he was doing and completely meant it. Lets face it he has done it before, he is not this world beating unbelievable player u think he is, ur media build up players to god like status when in fact this guy is 20 and done not very much in his career so far....
Face it England r , they have good players indiviually but they do not play as a team.... |
